My Daughter's name is Asa Layne and I'm not pregnant...just thinking of names for the possible future baby in a few years.

First of all, I love your current daughter's name. I wish my parents had been creative.

Try Zara for the spelling of the final name on your girl list. It will eliminate confusion for people reading it. (You would probably get some Chara's for the first spelling, as Cz is often pronounced Ch. And, you will hear some Sh's for the second spelling because the h will throw people off.)

Fere is dangerous. As someone who was made fun of as a kid relating to part of her name, I can tell you you don't want something that can be twisted into something else (Fairy). Other than that, I love the names!

For girls, I like the name Leah, Zhara is also pretty.
For boys I love the name Kai, Gage is intersting but could be hard as an adult.

I like Leah. Scotlyn is interesting.

For boys I like Gage or Kai.

Remember to give it the "tease test;" how would kids twist the name around to tease your child?

Gia is okay but is pretty harsh sounding
Leia reminds me of that chick from Star Wars
Leah is nice and simple--love it!
Alora is pretty and not too common which makes for a great name
Scotlyn isn't pretty at all and is weird
Czara/Zhara is pretty, but the spellings just don't do anything for me

Dagan is made-up sounding
Gage isn't a name. People might name their kids that, but that's not a name that's a thing to measure water
Kai is nice but kind of feminine
Fere is okay
Gideon is great!

Remember, you're naming a person, not just a baby.

The problem with unusual names, and names which it isn't clear how to pronounce them, is it will cause the person problems all of their lives.

I'm not wild about any of the ones you list, except Leah.

I will make a suggestion.......I really adore the names Sophia, Gabriella, and Madison. For a boy I would suggest Ryan, Jake, or Jason. I also am a pretty big fan of the names you have already suggested. I am just trying to expand your list.
