do cojoined ("Siamese") twins have two navels or is there only one on one "body"?

It depends on where they are joined. Identical twins do NOT always have 2 placentae--it depends on WHEN the egg splits whether they have 1 or 2.

It depends on where they are attached. If its close to the belly, maybe only one will have a umbilical cord. Siamese twins are twins that never completely separated. So if they are attached at the head, they both have their own umbilical cords (navels). But if they are attached around the belly/hip area, one could be turned where only he/she has the cord. Most of the time there will be two navels (cords).

Just in response to the first poster, not ALL identical twins have two placentas. My daughters shared one. They were a rare type called monochronic monoamniotic twins. Moncohronic twins share a placenta. Each twin will have its own belly button and umblical cord going into one placenta

I was told my twins were conjoined and thought that for 6 weeks while waiting for an ultrasound. They should have their own belly buttons unless they are cojoined in the tummy area

That all depends on where on the body they are conjoined. I have seen them conjoined at the top of the head, at the chest, and at the hips. There are other places they can be joined as well. If they have one body, then they have one naval. If they have 2 bodies, but are joined at the chest and abdomen, normally they have one naval. If they have 2 bodies and are joined anywhere else, they can have 2 navals. It all depends on where they are conjoined.

It would probably depend on how they were conjoined. Identical twins have two placentas.

It depends on where they were joined and whether they shared an umbilical cord
