that is very normal.........and it doesn't make a difference if you had a boy or a girl......that is just your hormones that are left in your baby....don't panic it will subside soon.......you probably also notice that your daughters vulva was very swollen at birth (same thing) and if you had a boy his "ball sack" also who have been very swollen ( same thing) so relax and enjoy your new daughter

You are just starting to get your milk production going. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids to. I did have a problem with milk production and had to supplement with formula. For me it was not a matter of her wanting to eat every 20 minuites, but each feeding would take well over an hour and sometimes 2 and then she would still cry and then I would have to give her a bottle and she would still drink several ounces of formula or sometimes I would pump and be able to get out more that way. Someone else suggested giving rice cereal. Do not do this. The baby is way too young for that.

No worries!! This is caused by hormones and I'm surprised the doctor didn't tell you that in the hospital! And believe it or not, they may even leak a little bit of milk. There may also be a bit of blood streaked mucus in her diaper which is also normal.

It is perfectly normal. My daughter had the same thing and the hardness eventually goes away. It is just her hormones. My doctor told me that they may also leak stuff out of their nipples and that is also normal.

Yes, I've heard about that before. It's just residual hormones from you left in her body from the birth. It should go away in a few weeks. Congratulations on your baby girl!

that is normal. both male and female babies may have the swollen breastes. It is a result of the mothers hormones flowing through their bodies. It will go away.
