Urine consists of excess water and waste products that have been filtered from the blood by the kidneys. Its natural yellow color is due to excretion of urochrome, a pigment from blood. Depending on the amount of fluids you drink, your urine can range in color from almost clear (diluted) to dark orange (concentrated).
Most changes in urine color are temporary and caused by foods you eat or medications you take. However, sometimes an abnormal urine color can indicate a serious disease. If you're concerned about the color of your urine, especially if you notice blood in it or the color change lasts more than one day, consult your doctor.

Pregnancy has NOTHING to do with the color of your urine. The color has to do with how strong or diluted your urine is. You need plenty of WATER, not just fluids (ie, juice, soda, milk) to keep your urine diluted. You should get at least eight full 8oz glasses of nothing but water a day. It will help ward off UTI's and kidney stones actually.

Sometimes people sound so dumb, I read some peoples answers and wonder if they ever passed the second grade, my kindergartener has better answers then some of these people. yes, darker pee usually means you need to drink more water, I take vitamin b and other vitamens, vitamen b will make your pee a flourecent greenish yellow, darker pee usually means you are lacking on water. Good luck, ps the color of your pee has nothing to do with pregnancy, a piece of advice, in this world today unprotected sex is like suicide, be careful

Drink plenty of water to make your urine light color. This is due to lack of liquid in your body. the color of your urine has nothing to do with being pregnant. Your urine comes from your kidney.

The more water you drink the lighter your urine will be. Dark urine is a sign of dehydration, or you could be drinking too many cokes.

I think it depends on what you eat but my Phys. Ed. teacher said that the darker the urine, the more water you need to have or something.
Don't worry, I have unprotected sex once in awhile (we use the pull out method, I DON'T recommend it) and my urine is normal.

No but maybe your not drinking enough water, taking vitamins, eating high protein, holding it in too long,
or STD- but probably not since you've got no other symtoms and were checked at the doctor.
it could be kidney issues,
or nothing at all.
get checked out
good luck

If you want to, but urine's colour is dependant on the quality of the liquids you drink, and on the frequency too.

the yellow color in urine comes from the urea that's produced by the body. our bodies are not effecient at retaining water which is why the more we drink the more we have to pee. depending on how much liquid you drank the concentration of urea will change and thus the color changes.
