Can any Nation's Troops be loyal to the Nation if they include illgal aliens merely serving as a trade off for US citizenship? Who's to say that illegal foreign aliens will really owe their allegiance to the U.S. If they would willingly die to get US citizenship, who says they aren't easily bribed for huge sums of cash?

Who's been snitching on the whereabouts and movements of our Troops to allow all those bombs to be set to go off and killing so many?

Can the U.S, trust the loyalty of illegal foreign aliens? Would we be training illegal aliens who will in the future backfire on us? How can US have reliable and loyal Servicemen and women when they are all not US citizens?

I am thinking about going back to the military. I used to be in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted person. I got my bachelors and currently doing my master's degree. I am thinking about going back to the military as an Air Force officer.

Is there a site where I could talk to enlisted and officer people currently in the air force. I just want some questions answered about the process and the life that only a person currently in could answer.

So my boyfriend was enlisted in the Air Force in DEP. Due to his metal disorders (bi polar and depression) he can no longer join because he had a blow out and ended up going to the hospital. He called an Airman and he told my boyfriend that he would could no longer join the Air Force and he would be getting some kind of discharge. If he gets a discharge he is pretty much screwed with any other job. What can he do, please help!!!! And what is the most severe punishment can he get. Is a discharge possible?

My grandpa took it off a sub at Mare Island years and years ago. It's white with two light blue stripes around the top - the lower one thinner than the top. I don't know what it was about the mug, but it was eventually dubbed MY teacup whenever I visited my grandparents, because I would reach all the way to the back of the cupboard to use specifically that one. It's gone now, broke or got lost or something. Where could I find one like it? Is there any kind of online surplus store? Or maybe ebay? I don't even know what to look for, I'm not sure if "navy-issue teacup" is descriptive enough.

I wouldn't mind to be deployed, but recently my husband was sent over to Iraq and killed in action. Due to this reason my family is scared to loose another loved one. And I was wondering if anyone knew of any non-deployable jobs due to my sercomstance. Thanks to anyone that answers.

In 1969 I was in the Military Americans would say "Get out of my way you worthless piece of ****". Now, 38 years later I am now against the illegal war in Iraq and Americans still tell me to "Hush Up, Leave the country, find a new country, say "Get out of my way OR Get out of my counry and live in Iraq or Iran. Why are Americans like that?

Yeah I know i'm pretty ignorant about it all. I try not to get involved with talk about it since I don't know enough, but this just occured to me the other day. Is that (one reason) why people want to get out of Iraq, to "leave them alone" so they leave us/them alone?

I am interested in what you all have to say but please DO NOT lecture me on irrelevant things like the reasons why people want out, i'm just wondering about my question. (and I know there are other terrorists besides al-quaeda)

I just realise i'm not REALLY sure why they are attacking the US, UK, and others involved with the war. Surely it's not as simple as stop bombing them and they will stop bombing or attempting to bomb us?

My hubby only did 18 months in the army out of a two year committment. He was discharged, but not negatively. Hubby believes that he doesn't qualify for any benefits, but has never made the effort to find out if he would.

Today, he is 100% disabled from a stroke (not related army duty). We need to find out if he could qualify for a Vet home loan or life insurance for him. [I have medical insurance for him at my work and he gets medicare, so that is not an issue]. He is 38 yrs old, had stoke when he was 32.

** Incidentally, my Dad was a WW2 vet, and NEVER partook of the Vet loan process. He went the 'standard' mortgage way and has his home. Is there anyway Dad can pass to us his Vet status for a Vet home loan? ***

* Is my hubby a "vet"?
* If so, would he qualify for a Vet home loan?
* Any Life Insurance / stroke-friendly available?
* Is my Dad's Vet status usable?

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

The complete AP story dated today

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070618/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_iraq

Bush and Rice's meetings came a day after Gen. David Petraeus, the U.S. commander in Baghdad, warned it could take as long as a decade to stabilize Iraq.

Petraeus said insurgents pushing back on newly aggressive coalition military forces have led to continued violence in Iraq, describing an ebb-and-flow of sectarian murders in Baghdad.

I was recently told that if an American soldier is wounded in action in Iraq that they are evac'd to Germany. If they later die from their wounds they are not counted among those killed in action in Iraq. Is that true...does anyone know for sure?
