If he's in dep he will not get any "discharge". He'll just be kicked out of dep. And there will be no adverse effect on his ability to get a job.
DEP is completely different to being "in the military". He's not getting any kind of "discharge".

If he was in the DEP, then technically he wasn't a member of the armed forces. You have to graduate Basic for that to happen.
He won't get discharge papers, but he will get something to the effect of canceling his enlistment contract.
Get him on some meds. That stuff is fairly well controlled with most people.
His finding a job isn't really our problem. You and he have to sit down, find what he is capable of, and go through the classifieds, making phone calls, filling out applications, until he gets something. We all have to deal with it.

Its a DEP discharge, no harm no foul, nothing can or will be done to him affecting him getting another job. On the other hand maybe I would worry about him holding any job if he is Bi-Polar and has depression, mabye he needs care, mabye he will commit suicide, thats a little more to worry about than a job don't ya think

There's no discharge from DEP. A person in DEP is not really in the military. It's just like having a reservation to join. If he drops out of DEP it's just like he was never associated with the military. He will answer "NO" to all questions asking if her ever served.

he was in DEP. he was never in the military. all he got was a release from obligation. he will be permanently disqualified form joining any branch of the military.. for two reasons.. one he is bi polar, and two he LIED about having it to his recruiter.
This will have zero impact on his ability to find a job in the civilian world. the only thing that affects that is HIM and his intergrity and whether or not he takes his meds like he is supposed to.

For all practical purposes being discharged while in delayed enlistment status is the same as never having been in at all. No penalties, no bad record, just don't bother trying to enlist again in the future.

He never actually entered active duty and went to basic, right? Then they'll just release him from his contract; he won't have a "previous military status" to report to future employers.
