theyget free time on Sundays. Mail call is every day, but that doesn't mean they will get mail every day.

When my hubby was in Navy boot camp, they were only given time to read and write mail on Sundays. Any mail recieved during the week was collected and delivered to the recruits on Sunday only.

The first week the recruit will send an infomative packet home with any important info and their address.

Two answers.

1. When they are told they are allowed to and only on Sunday's.

2. When they are given mail.

Letters are a priviliedge not a right. Recruits have a million things to do in one day and even though Sundays is a relaxed day they have uniforms to get ready and studying to do. Do not count on tons of letters coming your way.

Im exceedingly particular once you first get there, interior of a few hours you call domicile and say something like "good day, i made it thoroughly, bye" thats approximately it and if not the 1st week then maximum possibly the 2d week you will initiate writing letters. to be effortless i in easy terms wrote domicile so my family participants could think of i neglected them yet extremely i kinda enjoyed being on my own even although i became in easy terms 17 on the time stable success
