What is up with people? Why does a slag like anna smith get so much press coverage? When my grandfather who defeated an elite panzer tank devision in WW2 with just two tanks gets forgetton?

If any american wonders why people around the world people are blowing up buildings and accountants within them. This is the reason why. You disgrace true war heroes like my grandfather with fake bitches like that whore anna smith being on the news.

Learn to respect your allies that fought in WW2. Both my grandfathers fought to keep what you call democracy safe. One fought the japs and the other the germans. The least you could do is stop saying you won the battle in europe, all you did was kill a few axis when your boats dropped into port.
Had it not been for that ferry being sunk by a german u-boat you would all be neutral still.

I found the following quote interesting:

"Naturally the common people don't want war. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Hermann Goering, leader of Hitler's Gestapo

I know that these terrorists are the scum and scourge of the earth, but torturing them like that makes the soldiers almost as bad.

I do not know if the SAS rumour is true but there highly trained individuals who helped train Delta Force and the Navy SEALS to where they are now. If there are any special forces individuals who are protecting harry while in theatre I'm sure they're honoured and stepped forward for the job so its not for us to criticise.
Harry's joined my regiment the Household Cav. and we are proud to have him with us. He is an Officer and a Royal so he is bound to have special circumstances, and if he wants to go out and get some action good for him, because anyone who joins the army does not join to sit in the mess all day and lads who go out there with him will find tough but if they come home they will be truly proud to protect. It is in our oath of allegiance ' to protect Queen, Country, Successors and Heirs and those who serve over us'.
So please bare that in mind before you start to criticise. This is a military issue not a civil one so civvies if you got an issue complain to your local MP. Ex- forces we've been trained and served we've seen what our senior officers are capable of when they've put their mind to it so we should be able to trust their judgement.

I am puzzle over this. The Americans are in Iraq. Many are killed together with the innocents by the rebels or those who regards Americans as aggressors. At each killing involving the innocents and the American forces, the rebels claim their God has helped them to achieve. If it is so, why they are in hidding and running from one place to another. Now look, whoever that is sent to carry out the suicidal killing are the pawns, never the leaders. When can the pawns awaken to the fact of that they are being used and they are fighting a losing better. The Americans are in their lands. They move about openly if not for the threat of the rebels. See the rebels are not able to move so freely. How sad for the ignorance. Who is winning and who is losing. Isn't this clear? We hope this will end and the innocents can pick up their lives to live peacefully once more in the land they love.

I know it's a silly question, but it's a big deal to me. i'm wondering if you can be a vegetarian in the army. I will be joining under the ranger contract maybe this fall. i thought those of you who have recently served or are serving in the army could help me out, especially if you're a ranger.

Pride from those who respect their country,
Insults from those who believe we can't win.
In Washington they sit back on cushioned seats.
Talking as if they know a war, they've never been in.
It's easy to see things through rose collered glasses, we can cut and run.
Leave your duty with no purpose, critcise your life and your gun.
Or as they criticise your leaders, and lay your soul to rest.
We can do it with dignity, and admit ours are the best.
I ask all here tonight for one moment for the red, white and blue.
And those fighting for your country, with hearts brave and true. olhip48

The Prez is big on talking up the troops and his love and respect for them. Yet, he allows them to be sent to war without adequate equipment and protections. Then, when they come home wounded, the hospitals, for which he is the Commander In Chief, are substandard at best. What gives??

I have a close friend who is trying to get discharged form the Military. She has been trying to find websites to give her info on what can be considered an honerable discharge. I told her she would do this when she signed up...she didn't listen. She has young kids and says it just isn't for her. I have tried to talk with her on this. Any advise or websites she can view?

We live in Hawaii now and so BAH is very high, almost $2000 a month and I was considering moving back in with my parents (in Texas) for a while then getting an apartment in the area for arounf $500 a month in rent instead of the $1500 we currently pay and so save tons of money. BUT that can't be right...I mean my husband SWEARS that he gets the same BAH regardless of where I live but I find it hard to believe. Sounds too good to be true...Does anyone have any experience with any thing like this?
