I am puzzle over this. The Americans are in Iraq. Many are killed together with the innocents by the rebels or those who regards Americans as aggressors. At each killing involving the innocents and the American forces, the rebels claim their God has helped them to achieve. If it is so, why they are in hidding and running from one place to another. Now look, whoever that is sent to carry out the suicidal killing are the pawns, never the leaders. When can the pawns awaken to the fact of that they are being used and they are fighting a losing better. The Americans are in their lands. They move about openly if not for the threat of the rebels. See the rebels are not able to move so freely. How sad for the ignorance. Who is winning and who is losing. Isn't this clear? We hope this will end and the innocents can pick up their lives to live peacefully once more in the land they love.

I am not puzzled by that. I am puzzled by their delusion that they're winning. But then, Moslems have always had this delusional capacity to believe they were something they were not, explaining away crushing defeats as "will of Allah" and later telling people they were victories. The best example of this was the Arab grousing, "We got rid of the Crusaders, the Turks, and the English, and we'll get rid of you." Uh uh. The Crusaders were invited in by the Moslems raping, murdering, and robbing pilgrims. The TURKS got rid of them. The British got rid of the Turks. The British left when Israel became a nation. And no one has gotten rid of Israel, hard as they've tried. Meanwhile, the Arabs have done nothing but destroy. Yeah, how they think they even have won in the past is beyond me.

JD is right. There is nothing puzzling about war, except why it started.
Either side can say they are winning a war as long as the war is still being fought. Your comments sound similar to those made by the Russian during their war in Afghanistan. Or, comments the US made during Vietnam.

because they have crazy beliefs and are sometimes on drugs. Also because of their cowardly stratagy, this is a war that will never be "won", it will last forever unless we bomb the heck out of the place and kill everyone. WHich we won't do, so we will never win.
