I've seen firsthand the effects of war. War is the same, whether a Republican or Democrat is in office. How dare you take the sacrifices that good men and women have made for their country and use it as political fodder.
Politicians need to stay the hell out of the military's way after assigning us a mission. Both political parties are equally responsible for this current conflict. And anyone that is serious about getting our troops back home wouldn't be bringing politics into this, because practically everyone in Congress & the White House are to blame, and the political bickering only slows everything down, so that each side can try to look like the hero in the debate, when the real heroes are stuck overseas in the sandbox.
Both sides are using the lives of our troops as political collateral, and it's inexcusable.

As I see it the authorisation for war came from the House and Senate and not from Bush, Cheney and Rums field they were the ones in office at the time.
To call it their War indicates you are blaming them personally when in fact all of those who voted for the war should be targeted by your vindictiveness.
As for the poor state of the V/A hospital, it is the same thing across the country and successive governments have ignored it for decades.
Now that it has come to light, expect to hear of more and more poorly managed facilities, nation wide.
Only the tip of the ice-burg is showing at present*

If you want to see the medical care that appeared because of this war. Go take a trip to BAMC, or Landsthul. The VA is still broke and needs fixing, but Active duty hospitals are in a constant state of improvement.

No, your question lacks logic. You fool yourself to think that Americans don't know the human cost of this war. Our vets of this war can be better served in ways that don't involve a menial chore like emptying a bedpan.

I have served in Iraq and seen things first-hand.
Why don't you go a see things first-hand yourself?
Or are you just some keyboard commando who tells people to do things he is not willing to do himself.

It's not just Bush's war. If I remember correctly, there was one dissenting vote in the house. And the pour souls in VA hospitals are retirees, so you can thank democrats like Johnson and Kennedy, Truman, and Roosevelt for sending them off to fight. You want to play that game, we can go there.

Stupid Bush....I heard he's responsible for death. You see, in the beginning we were all going to be immortal, you know - never die. Then he got in office and he decided that we could no longer be immortal. I also heard he's responsible for leaves falling off of trees, ticks on dogs, food getting stuck in your teeth without you knowing it and for making us sometimes forgetting to zip up after we go potty. So yeah, Bush is horrible!
