You give them good housing, good pay and access to quality medical care for putting their lives on the line, and then you give them good, quality benefits when they get out. You also don't wreck the civilian jobs of Guard and Reserve members. I GUESS ALL THIS HAS BEEN LOST ON THE REPUBLICANS. Don't one of you ever tell me you "support" the troops again when all you mean is that you support a fight.

It is learnt that as late as in2006, FBI had no hard evidence of Osama's involvement in 9/11.Many have declared that Bush went to war against Saddam under unsubstantiated charges.
Should he not accept his guilt graciously and resign?

Soldiers to begin leaving Iraq Dec 2005. ( Note: This was written Aug 2004)
The talks have mentioned a plan for U.S soldiers in Iraq to begin returning in 2 phases.

Begining in Dec 2005 a few thousand, the 1st phase in june 2006 about 40,000 and the rest by January 2007...Talks between Abu Mazen and Bush have been going on about this as the Iraq's want their govt control free of U.S control, which they call U.S occupation...So simmer down. Many of those soldiers coming home for Christmas may very well be your loved one..but they won't be there, for another 2 years. Keep a positive outlook, the war is quickly coming to an end...just treat them good this time as they have been so far gone from U.S culture that they will need a welcome and not another Jane Fonda response.ok? The war will be over by Jan 2007. We can taste victory. The Insurgents are and will be defeated. Thank God we will never have 3,000 dead in this war. The insurgents will never make the 3,000 mark on our troops.

Do you think the military would take action against one of their solders if the person's actions outside of the military are a concern and leads me to believe the person has bad moral character?? I know they have the 7 army values and its mostly about a soldiers actions to behave ethically and honor its country, but how far does that carry out to their actions towards civilians and what they do in their personal life?

I have noticed even the brass sporting what appears to be fresh clean shaven heads, when I was in the Marines and The Navy we were under orders that forbade us to use a razor and shave the skin on our heads.
In fact when I was a Navy Corpsman I had some senior Navy men complain to my Chief at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendelton CA wherein I was based about me shaving my head so and was ordered not to shave it with a razor blade.
I was disappointed because I feel more manly with it totally shaved and enjoy the discomfort I bear with it being clean and close shaved as well as the absolute hygenics of it being so balded. This would take form in my exercise discipline by motivating me just a little more then without it being so strictly shaved. I guess I will always favor the smooth over the hairy. I think it is because in my masculinity I percieve hair as a female trait, for comforting the creature against cold and hard, but as a man I like to meet the challenge of these.

My husband is looking into the Air Force and we're trying to find a job where the training length is shorter and the deployment is less frequent. Which is the most family friendly AF job? We're looking into Security Forces, any others?

I am quite healthy and enjoy disciplined violence like martial arts. I dont want to harm anyone or be harmed but I really enjoy and crave to be ordered and commanded, to be tested and inspected, regulated and constrained, coerced to endure more then I would normally without strict military police drill instructor role models taking absolute charge and custody of me for such character conduct and bearing instruction, conditioning and training.
Are there any militaries that can service my wants and desires in this area?

Why do people expect that in just 5 or 6 years we can:

1. Help a country set up a real democracy in an area that has never seen one or had hope for one until their dictator was toppled when it took decades for us to do it ourselves at home.

2. Prepare Iraqi security forces to be a viable organization capable of battling ununiformed terrorists (pretty much the hardest thing for a military to do) with a professional cadre of officers and NCOs who do not focus on tribal and religious loyalty but focus on the law instead, starting from scratch, when it takes us 2-4 years to turn a new military member into an officer (ROTC, service academies, etc) and a similar amount of time to turn a soldier into a sergeant (mind you they need years beyond that to gain real experience). Keep in mind that our soldiers don't have the guy down the street threatening to kill their kids if they do their jobs like Iraqi soldiers do.

I am not advocating terroist attacks in any way ,but thinking about this purley objectivly why have A Q not attacked the States since Sept 01 .If the 9/11 attacks were meant to bring terror and fear to the American ppl it can only work if there are sustained attacks in hospitals ,railway stns, airports ,shopping malls and any other public places that way the ppl are frigtned to go out there door ,the US economy will suffer, tourism will drop off and security services will be stretched .Governments will be under massive pressure and could even collapse ,but one attack (however horrendous it was) 6 years ago is not going to make any difference to anyone other than those who suffered in that attack ,as the rest of America will have moved on ,the attack will be just a bad memory .
Like I say I do not want to see this kind of horror brought to anyones doorstep ,but what exactly was the point of 9/11?

america technically won and lost the war in a military point of view they won conventional wars but on the political and main objective view of the war they lost
