You've written the petition and I am here to affix my signature to it -- good show--- and something that definately needed to be said !!
Myself, I can't bellieve that the term "support the troops" has come to mean you have to be in support of the policies that are getting them killed !!
It is in the same exact vain that says-- in order to be a "good" American (a place that has derived its position in the world FROM its diversity and views ON individuality) You HAVE to be of one mind and one accord with the centralized authority !!!!!
"Holding to the principals of the United States of American" doesn't have a DAMN thing to do with being a cut from the cookie mold tag along with the dictated views of a DECIDER !!!!

Beachman, nice name calling. What are we, like 12? Can't even come up with a reasonable answser.
To answer the question, the Republicans will shortly blame the democrats for this. But, yes, the Republicans have not even done anything about it. While the Democrats, like Osama and have been voting on bills to clean up this mess.

One point that has been lost in the fray is that services at Walter Reed were somehow privatized last fall-I don't remember this-and I read plenty. How did they manage to hire Haliburtan again??!!! This is not left or right as much as plain wrong. Although the privatization brought to us by the previous Republican Congress-blinded by the party.

Most Americans think they are supporting the troops by going to Wal-Mart and buying a magnet that reads “Support Our Troops” for $1.95 + tax and sticking on the back of their car.

Well you see most Republicans support the troops by comprising around 93% of the armed forces,So don't you tell me you support the troops until your a** has picked up a rifle and conducted combat patrols.

Well said. Did you know that the guy they fired at Walter Reed had only been there 6 months? The replaced him with the gen. who had been there for 6 years before him and was the one responsible for the horrible conditions in the first place. Ah, yes, the Repubs know best.

Totallly agree, the military recently took my brother's wisdom teeth out without giving him any pain medication or anesthesia. They need to do a better job. It is an all volunteer army these days. People have to want to volunteer.

The current republican idea of supporting troops does seem to be nothing more than lip service to the war, while the rest of us who are AGAINST the war still seem to be able to send care packages to soldiers we never even met.

How long have you been following how the military's treated?
I have been living and following it since the Carter administration. I know from experience that all that has been lost on the DEMOCRATS, not the republicans.
