It seems obvious that we are escalating the war and specifically against Iran. We are slowly going toward confrontation with Iran. It is by no doubt that Iran is involved in Iraq -but should we confront them militarily and go out with a bang... how would that help our National Security at home and/or abroad?

It is said that Saddam killed 400,00 people under his evil regime in Iraq.

http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0312/14/bn.03.html
http://www.usaid.gov/iraq/legacyofterror.html

But in Darfur, the government has financed the killing of some people, and the number is usually given as the same amount: 400,000 deaths.

Yet Liberals LOVE to cry about us not going to Darfur, but they attack the government for interfering in Iraq. Do they just oppose ANYTHING our government does or does not do?

Just wondering.

Not for testing, but just everyday cardio, what is the pace? I'm not a very strong runner, but I've improved a lot and run about a 12.5 minute mile, and I'm still improving. I'm just curious about what I should expect. Thanks for all the advice.

Is it possible that we can live without having a war, like Iraq, Civil, and etc? By doing some other way to settle besides sending our/their people off to war to die for what ever that cause the war to start?
If not,.....why?

I reenlisted to change my MOS to 15 T as an E4 (not promotable). I had no idea that going to the E5 board would hinder me from going to AIT for 15 T. Now I am E4 promotable and now I dont meet the prerequisites. I dont know how to obtain a waiver so I can enter AIT as a E4 promotable.

Unfortunately, the American people aren’t hearing about this, as Army medic Corporal Ignacio Garza observes:

Based on his experiences in Iraq, events there are not as bad as the news media make it seem, an Army medic from Adrian said.

Cpl. Ignacio Garza, a medic in the 1st Armored Division home on leave after serving in Iraq for six months, said the troops don’t watch television news for war updates because they think none of the networks show an accurate depiction of what’s happening. He said they ignore large parts of the country, including the Kurd-dominated north, that are stable.

In fact, if the mainstream media isn’t ignoring a story in Iraq they could just as easily be making one up. For the second time in six weeks, the Associated Press has put out a story from Iraq that isn’t backed by the facts:

The Associated Press has again put out an Iraq story detailing events that did not happen. This time, it involves an airstrike that, " killed a family of four during a firefight." However, according to the press desk of Multi-National Forces-Iraq, no air strike happened during that firefight, and MNF-I also reported that which six insurgents were killed by American troops in Baghdad on January 1. This is the second time in roughly six weeks that the AP has been caught fabricating events.

I see alot of Yanks on this uk site talking the shi* bigging themselfs up all the time, saying this and that about how they are the best and no other country is better. I think the word for Americans is ignorant. Now I dont mean all Americans as I know a few who are nice decent worldly educated people but the majority of them are not and I want to know why??

I had an American girl (she was like 19-20) ask me when i was in New York " Is London in England or is England in London" I walked away shocked. And its not the first time i have been asked that question!

Yanks seem to know nothing of the world outside the US so why do they interfere in peoples business all the time??

I hate the fact that our armed forces (UK) are in Iraq and Afghanistan through lies that bush told us and blair belived! It makes us look like fools how we always have to jump when the US says so. There is a lack of respect from Americans toward us Brits who dont forget helped make your country what it is!
