Why doesn't the US Army wear their sleeves up in garrison during summer. All the other services wear sleeves up during summer, but not the Army. In fact, the new ACU uniform cannot have rolled sleeves due to the velcro.
Note: I understand the need for sleeves down when downrange, to protect against gravel, broken glass, abrasions, bug bites, and sunburn. But why not in garrison, motorpool, work details, etc?
Is there a good reason for sleeves down?

There are many people who think that almost all muslims are terrorists, why nobody is concerned about the reasons that made them so,

if an attack is carried by a muslim can anybody call it terrorism ? how came that word ,in history we can find many rulers and kings killed many of their people , but nobody is ready to call them terrorists ,
and in falastine you can find many who call the children terrorists if they pelt stones to the tanks which are coming to destroy their houses and the soldiers kill them they are the heroes !!!

what if the american soldiers bombed the hospitals and the schools by "mistake" and killed hundreds of children and women, what can we call it

My heart aches and it brings me to near tears when I see "the honor roll", bios, photos, home town, age, rank etc.

There is something very wrong with this war in Iraq. It's being run very poorly. I've put my life on the line for my family and country before. It's demoralizing to not get 100% support from home.

I say give our brave American military 100% support or get out of Dodge City (Baghdad).

Sen. Ron Wyden's bill came in response to an investigation by The Associated Press that found weaknesses in surplus-sale security that allowed buyers for countries including Iran and China to surreptitiously obtain sensitive U.S. military equipment including Tomcat parts.

Tell me righties, you claim the military is pro conservative, and how you're so much better on national security than the democrats are, and yet this was happening right under Bush's nose. I ask you this, what gives?

I always thought that drafting soldiers was a monstrous idea! I understand, and even approve of, countries like Sweden requiring a tour of military service from every able male, but forcing people to go to war is an outrage! I think that if a nation has run out of volunteers to fight a war, they should LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE and call it lost. People will always fight for a cause they believe in. In World War II, there was no shortage of volunteers. In fact, they had to assign peripheral jobs to many of them because there wasn't enough room on the battlefields for everyone who wanted to kick Hitler's butt. In Vietnam, public opionion was that we shouldn't be over there, so our army was thinned pretty fast. Instead of walking away from the conflict, arrogant leaders threatened prison to men who didn't want to fight when they were told to. I would really like to hear from someone who can give me an example of how the draft could benefit society.

What Bush says

20,000 troops increase :Mistake of not sending sufficient troops must be rectified. Troops stabilise Baghdad and reinforce Anbar province, on condition that Iraqis take on Shia militias

$1bn reconstruction aid :Fresh funds will help create jobs and stimulate economy to show Iraqis there can be a peace dividend, and friendly Middle East states should help out too

What Congress says

20,000 troops increase :Troop build-up is a mistake. House expected to vote on increase, Senate legislation forces Bush to seek congressional approval but neither move could block troop deployment

$1bn reconstruction aid :Don't throw good money after bad. US has squandered billions since the invasion and Democrats plan investigation. Millions of dollars 'overpaid' by Pentagon to Iraq contractors
