Sen. Ron Wyden's bill came in response to an investigation by The Associated Press that found weaknesses in surplus-sale security that allowed buyers for countries including Iran and China to surreptitiously obtain sensitive U.S. military equipment including Tomcat parts.
Tell me righties, you claim the military is pro conservative, and how you're so much better on national security than the democrats are, and yet this was happening right under Bush's nose. I ask you this, what gives?

Hey John B, from your article:
Iran is heavily dependent on foreign markets for spare parts. U.S. law enforcement officials believe Iran can make only about 15 percent of the components it needs for the jets.
So tell me, if Iran is this heavily dependent, then it's even more obvious that people in our government would have knowledge of this. Sorry, wrong answer.

Anton, good point. But given the volatile situation in the middle east since 2003, how in the world was this happening under our noses? Sorry, I don't buy it.
