Any Country that has "Launchable" Thermal Nuclear Capabilities.

I am tempted to say Iraq, but we are losing there because of bad leadership. With good leadership and the ability to use all our weapons even nuclear, Our size alone would be enough to beat Great Britain, France, Germany et al. We have superior nuclear weapons to India and Pakistan and Russia. Japan has a very small standing army and no nukes.

China would be tough
and Israel because they would fight to the last man/woman standing

BTW Lanc Lad. we did beat Britain. Twice. You may recall a little dust up called the Revolutionary War and then a few years later The War of 1812. and that was back when Britain was powerful

First and foremost, M L has it right. Then never underestimate your border neighbors. And finally the least likely often times have the upper hand to surprise.

Instead of war, why not peacefully work with the rest of the world to become a united earth. People working together to make earth the best place to live in the universe. Think of how much we can learn from each other, the advances we can make in medicine and finding cures for diseases, working to end poverty, hunger, and homelessness in all of our countries.

Well, we didn't so well in Korea and Vietnam. China could give us a run for our money based on sheer numbers. Israel would be hard to beat because they're very passionate about their military. There are probably many others we would have a hard fight with, but it also depends largely on where the war is fought. The home-team advantage applies to war as well as sports.

I dont think you could beat my country Britain. We have many many many friends who have a unwritten obligation to assist us in times of need. They do this out of respect and honour. Besides that we would cause you havoc on our own. We have the best special forces unit on earth bar none ( some US generals have stated the SAS could get in the Whitehouse kill the Presedent and get out in under 20 minutes completely unknown ).We have the best elite units on earth aswell in the Royal Marines ( much better soldiers than your Marines and can be compared to Special forces they are that good. ) The other elite unit is the Parachute Regiment ( Paras ). We have regiments that are almost elite, The Guards regiments. The best Main Battle Tank (MBT) on earth ( Challenger 2 ). An nearly untarnished military record over the past 1000 years, we are a nuclear nation which make your nukes unusable because it would assure mutual destruction. We love being the underdog, its how we live and how we often win. We have the highest standard of military training known to man at every level and a Navy that is only smaller than your own. We may be smaller than Florida but by god its a huge mistake to think you can beat us.Many have tried, all have failed.

Forget China, i think you could beat them in under a year, maybe less than 6 months. Well placed machine guns would completely destroy there army, good pilots to defeat there armoured regiments, anti aircraft guns to defeat there airforce. You have this ability and Chinas main problem is there numbers. You can have to many soldiers. Imagine a city, 1 million Chinese at one side, 10,000 Americans at the other, seems a forgone conclusion doesnt it but think, if there was enough ammo the 10,000 could cut the 1million down with ease whilst being able to gain cover alot easier.

I think Britain could beat China aswell. I dont see how there army can be highly trained so it would be relitively easy to defeat them. They spend less than us Brits but have over 30 times more soldiers. Poor quality army or what.

We wont be going to war anytime soon though so thats ok.

China

1. Manpower, obviously.
2. Not many people have been paying attention, but the US just asked them to stop anti-satellite tests. That means that if we went to war with China now, one of their firsts steps would be to take out our network of satellites without which 94% of our Air Force would be rendered inoperable for some time.

Japan. For several things such as:

1. National Pride as equally strong as USA.

2. Economic power and resources.

3. Discipline by Heritage. Just think of Samurai days and harakiri. Suicide warriors were a thing of the past but still runs in their blood.

4. Prime minister as national leader. One voice, one rule, easiest to lead hence one goal as a nation.

5. Japs observe "American time", never late. Always two steps ahead.

6. Has wasabi for condiment. Need I say more?

Vietnam, (been there done that...lost) Japan, (they have something to prove) North Korea, and China, and England.
Just because they have so many nations aligned with them. Such as Canada, Australia and a few others.
