Europe is developing nEUROn, an unmanned fighter.
In an aerial combat with a conventional fighter who will have the advantage? How "instantly" can the unmanned fighter receive instructions (if it is around the globe) in order to compete the other pilot? Can the "joystick users" have the same knowledge of the combat environment as the real pilot?

I'm trying to find old friends and classmates. Is there a site or DoD rep I can contact that would be able to list the names of children of servicemen/women and where they were shunted off to after their parents tour ended? I've managed to find a few (and they've managed to find me ) through sheer luck through Reunion.com and Classmates.com

However, Classmates.com is no help in this regard. The people in question have to be aware of the site and sign up in order to be found and contacted.

Tell me how you would survive a hostage situation. Because we all have thought about times like this, and what we would do about it. Here's the situation: 3 terrorists blow open the door to the Oval Office. You are part of the secret service, you knocked off two of them, but the last one is a real psycho and managed to get a hold of the President. He put your President in between him and you so there's no easy shot. Do you drop the gun and comply? or go all Matrix and risk it all to be the hero? tell me

The British army is the best trained, most professional and deadly force in the world

The fact that the royal marines in Afghanistan drive around in open trucks with about 3 soldiers and manage to hold off 200 insurgents speaks for itself. Also the SAS are the best special force in the world. How do I know this? Well the fact that the US government always ask for their help and the fact that we train most special forces in the world!

Now The US army has better technology and more troops but at the end of the day if you take 10 brits vs 10 yanks in a fight the brits would win

The sad thing about the US army is that it recruits people with little or no education. People who live in rough areas who need a way out. Now this is good that the US army can help them but they are not disciplined or smart. So yes the US has numbers but not much talent

The US has killed so many brits in "friendly fire" its untrue.

Give us brits the tools and we get the job done!!

Anyone agree??

Ok Im not downing our president, but who thinks that he's making a big mistake? By sending more troops. Im also afraid that if we train their troops that they will back fire, and and use those skills to fight us. Mabe he's right in what he's doing, but I can say this.... he's very brave in what he's doing, because he knows evryone is aganst him, but he's sticking to what he believes is right. But im afraid......at what cost???? what do you think?

I saved a May 12, 2003 letter to the editor which strongly suggests that Iraqi Shiites purposely fed false intelligence to the US and Britain, that they basically tricked these powerful nations into... first removing the weapons inspectors ...then invading Iraq ... and getting rid of the Baath party. What do you think? Were we tricked into using our soldiers and our resourses to do someone else's (Iraqi Shiites' and possibly Iran's) dirty work?

I am going to army basic training (FT. Benning, 11B) in a few weeks and I wanted to know how writing home or to other people works. Do they set aside time for you to write and pick up mail? Do they make you do pushups for mail? Do they open your mail to search for stuff? Are people allowed to send pictures? Any other details and tips you could provide would be a huge help. Thanks!
