The British army is the best trained, most professional and deadly force in the world

The fact that the royal marines in Afghanistan drive around in open trucks with about 3 soldiers and manage to hold off 200 insurgents speaks for itself. Also the SAS are the best special force in the world. How do I know this? Well the fact that the US government always ask for their help and the fact that we train most special forces in the world!

Now The US army has better technology and more troops but at the end of the day if you take 10 brits vs 10 yanks in a fight the brits would win

The sad thing about the US army is that it recruits people with little or no education. People who live in rough areas who need a way out. Now this is good that the US army can help them but they are not disciplined or smart. So yes the US has numbers but not much talent

The US has killed so many brits in "friendly fire" its untrue.

Give us brits the tools and we get the job done!!

Anyone agree??

Forget the war of 1776 and 1812 the fact is we killed 17000 of your people and we only lost 5000. If we had had our whole army with us we would had won for sure.

Dont forget we burned down your precious White House.

Also I just want to make clear that there are some good American Soldiers but not many. Your too trigger happy, all shoot first ask questions later

You only got into WW2 because of pearl harbor. And you didnt save us. It would had taken us longer maybe but we were fighting for 2 years before the US got involved. Yes you leant us money but we are the only country to have paid it back with interest!

Germany would had come after the US if we had fallen so you can thank us! We had the balls to stand up for ourselfs and shitty countrys like France who did very little.

Completely. Us Brits should rule the world then no body would step out of line. Who else has royalty in their army?

I do respect the US a little though because they just keep going, even though its completely pointless. Britian gets rid of troops and the US send 20000 more but Britain still does the better job.

Non Americans often refuse to work with the Americans due to there complete lack of self control. They shoot at anything that moves, including trees swaying in the wind. Its not the fault of the soldiers though but of the higher ranks and the political figures.

Give us brits the tools and we get the job done!!

FYI geronrocks nobody won the war of 1812 but Britain were more of a winner than the US. You were terrified we couldnt be bothered after a while. 1500brits killed 8000 US. Says it all. Your greatest victory came after the war.

You also didnt win your independence. Didnt France, Spain and Holland do most of it for you because us Brits had desimated your own Army over and over. Me thinks this is the case.

Dont go tellingme to check my facts because that is what i have done. Britain would of won with ease had it not been for 3 european superpowers coming to your assistance.

Dont mention the world wars because we did more.

Hey marine guy below - not only would our Royal Marines break every bone in your body but our regular army would do much the same. Then of course we have our special forces who would take your entire Marines army on and win very easily. Your so full of bull its unbelievable, everyone knows Britsih Royal Marines are the most elite non special forces group on earth closely followed by the Paras. Your marines are like our cadets. Thats a complement aswell!

Maybe you are right about the British being the best trained, most disciplined army in the world, I do not know enough about the specifics of the training of either armed force to know the difference. Your most ignorant assumption that the United States army recruits people with little or no education, is just that ignorant. I often wonder where you Brits come up with these stereotypes. The United States have 180 of the top 200 Universities in the world, and yet you think everyone here is uneducated. You said the U.S. Army is not disciplined or smart?? Where have you been living?? You British are so arrogant. Try looking at the world from someone else's point of view, and try to do some research on the United States military, its history, and present composition, because it is evident you know nothing about it.

God Bless Britain though, and thanks for your support in our present conflict, though I fear Britain doesn't have the stomach to see it through, and maybe we don't either. As for the rest, no one won the war of 1812, though I think the U.S. had the best of it at the end, though that could be debated endlessly, we probably would have won our independence without the help of France or Spain simply because your Parliment would have realized that it was a hell of a lot easier just to give us our independence, because we would not have stopped fighting. The allies probably would have won the Second World War without the help of the United States, but I don't think it would have been a total victory, Germany would not have been conquered, but there would have been a negotiated peace, because you wouldn't have had the forces to invade mainland Europe, or if it was a total victory, Most of Europe would have been a Soviet Satalite. Anyways, there is no point to bicker over such things, instead we should work to keep better relations between our two countries, and I apoligize for the remarks of my fellow countrymen, but im not sure your's were much better. Sorry if I misspelled anything Damn spellcheck won't work.

If the British military had that many workers knowledgeable to combat, it could be them who won. There could be very few survivors, yet maximum of them could be the two very badly wounded and/or British. it is the only way the British stand a risk of thrashing the people, while that's equivalent numbers, no lower back up and on (probably) independent floor with neither area protecting.

Well just pat yourself on your back!

Actually, I believe the Israeli's have the most skilled soldiers. Look at their size and accomplishments!

Also, so that you have a better perspective on history....read the book "1776" by David McCullough who provides a very good history of the War of 1776 where the United States sent the British troops back to England after winning their independence! Just so you understand....the author provides documentation from BOTH sides of the war!

Your only "fact" to support who wins or who loses is based upon casualties...just with 1776 alone....look at what the Americans fought against. England had the numbers and the weapons yet the British still lost! Just reminds me of the story about David and Goliath! When the war began, the Americans did not have a professional army or navy. Each colony provided for its own defenses through the use of local militia. Militiamen were lightly armed, slightly trained, and usually did not have uniforms. Their units served for only a few weeks or months at a time, were reluctant to go very far from home, and were thus generally unavailable for extended operations. Militia lacked the training and discipline of regular soldiers but were more numerous and could overwhelm regular troops as at the battles of Lexington, Bunker Hill, Bennington and Saratoga, and the siege of Boston. Both sides used partisan warfare but the Americans were particularly effective at suppressing Loyalist activity when British regulars were not in the area.

Additionally, over the course of the war the British hired from German princes about 30,000 soldiers, they were called "Hessians" because many of them came from Hesse-Kassel. The troops were mercenaries in the sense of professionals who were hired out by their prince. Germans made up about one-third of the British troop strength in North America. By 1779, the number of British and German troops stationed in North America was over 60,000!

Lastly...it is really pathetic to see how one with so much in common with their ancestors wishes to resort to such petty thinking! Maybe, instead, you should foster better relations by being a bit more diplomatic in your comments...after all...isn't that what this worlds problem is now? We've lost the ability to communicate issues versus sending troops to battle!?!

Yeah pal you have such a great history of saving our butts. Like in that little war umm.... World War Two. Yall were getting pounded by Germany as I recall. We came in and saved the day. You had great leaders too, like Monty. Market Garden. Whoo! That was his brainchild and what a tactical success it was. I've trained with your special forces before. And I would take a Frenchman over yall any day of the week. And I hate the French. Believe what you like spunky. But yall would be eating sauerkraut and speaking German if it wasn't for the U.S.A. Sleep well tonight turd because the 82nd Airborne Division is on the job.

National pride is a good thing, and I am certain you could get a good brawl going in a bar with your question. However, to the professionals, regardless of country of origin, war is not a locker room contest.

Limeys have notoriously been great fighters, yeah, when they're backed into a corner and about to lose their little island, especially when they need 30,000 hired guns to back their play when their own second raters cut and RUN!

Yes the British Army is the best and even the US Army respect that.
Most Americans say they beat the British in 1775,well yeah but the French and the Spanish won it for them. They also say they beat us in 1812 but it was a British and Canadian victory and that's a fact.

The world knows that the British have the best trained Army(military)and the British have some of the best technology.

The Challenger 2 tank and the Warrior armored personnel carrier have the best armor on them.

The Americans didn't save the British in World War 2 in fact it was the British who saved the Americans in loads of battles,Britain saved itself in the Battle of Britain thanks to the RAF and the Royal Navy.Get your facts right.
