So, I am currently forming details for a story, a modern day story, and I have three gun wielding characters, one of which is a bodyguard who carries a pistol on him at all times. For those gun junkies out there, can anyone give me the name of a particular pistol, caliber and all, that you think would be best suited for such a character, and maybe give me some reasons why? (If not, I'll research it myself.) Some good reliable pistols would be nice, and the more modern they are, the better. Thanks guys! I really appreciate it.

I am 18, about to enter college. I am in moderately good shape (100 crunches in 2 minutes, 3 miles in 20 minutes, 15 pullups). I have a couple more years to prepare myself physically etc.

I'm of moderate intelligence SAT score 2030/2400, ACT 29

I know that it is extroardinarily difficult and a rediculously low percentage of people can actually get through indoc, but I'd like to at least take a shot at it one day.

If there is anyone out there who has become a recon marine, I'd really appreciate any wisdom you have to offer.

The u.s. seems to be in a liberating mood, so why not north korea or Cuba? If liberating is the reason we are there, why not go to other countries? oh thats right, north korea has no oil, its no good.

I didn't think that the US govt had the manpower or money right now to go to war again, but now I'm reading that tensions are building that could trigger a war between the two nations. Is this actually possible? Where would the US get the money/fuel/troops? Or is it just talk?

Monday night, at the university in Winona, MN, at an American Indian Veterans Honoring Ceremony, they honored Clarence Wolf Guts, the last surviving code talker from WWll.

3,000 veterans were on hand to greet him.

Clarence is 90 yrs. old and entered the military in 1942 when he was 18.

He spoke Lakota Sioux, and Dakota and Nakota as well.

Clarence was the personal interpreter for Major Gen. Paul Mueller of the 81st Infantry and he travelled with two bodyguards at all times.

Clarence spoke at the ceremony, saying,"To me, we should all be one. We should work together and help each other. I don't care what color you are. In the eyes of the Lord above, we are all brothers and sisters."
