Monday night, at the university in Winona, MN, at an American Indian Veterans Honoring Ceremony, they honored Clarence Wolf Guts, the last surviving code talker from WWll.
3,000 veterans were on hand to greet him.
Clarence is 90 yrs. old and entered the military in 1942 when he was 18.
He spoke Lakota Sioux, and Dakota and Nakota as well.
Clarence was the personal interpreter for Major Gen. Paul Mueller of the 81st Infantry and he travelled with two bodyguards at all times.
Clarence spoke at the ceremony, saying,"To me, we should all be one. We should work together and help each other. I don't care what color you are. In the eyes of the Lord above, we are all brothers and sisters."
