the Air Force is the only branch that requires a credit check for all incoming personnel. the other Branches only require it in certain circumstances.

yes, as the first person stated they do a credit check to see if you are financially stable. They are concerned with people severly in debt that they might steal things or worse for money.

It is for certain jobs, you need descent credit for your security clearances

For certain jobs , yes. people that have money issues are more likely to sell secrets!!
