Appeasement. Which is why the terrosists should be stood up against rather than appeased.

England tried to appease Hitler by allowing him to have the land back the Germans wanted for living space. France was an ally with England and I don't believe was really involved in negotiations with Germany pre-world war 2.

I think you people need to wake up and read the news prior to WW2 and not believe every thing our Zionist press tells you,I was around then and what I read then is completely different from what is being said now, I am not a fan of Hitlers, to the Hell with him, but the facts are, england was allys with Russia, and Hitler hated the Zionist communist, Englands P,M, Chamberlin went to Germany, and they agreed that england would drop Russia, then the U,S, would fight with Germany and England against Russia and the communist Zionist, America would not fight against their mother country England , the U,S, congress and senate agreed, when Chamberlin returned to England to present his case to england , meanwhile , Elenora Roosevelt a Zionist had sent a telegram to the white house (forged) that the Germans had sunk a American ship killing a lot of Americans
Presiden Roosevelt immediatly under the presidential power of war acts declared war on Germany, this info was sent to England so they replaced P,M, chamberlin with Churchill, and the German secretary of state had came to England to finilize the agreement with england was unaware that the U,S, had declared war on Germany,he was arrested and spent over 50 years in spandau prison until he died ,the supposedly sunken ship was still afloat after WW2
the polish people fought with Germany against Russia until the U,S, got involved then they switched sides so did a good portion of Russia, chex,

Diplomacy. Actually the Treaty of Versailles was supposed to keep Germany from ever being able to build up any strength again. But the Germans were ver sly in hiding the large warships and troops (which were offically forest rangers or something like that).

before world war two, they had a conference with Hitler in Munich where they discussed the fact that hitler took over parts of Czechoslovakia, and they wanted him to stop where he promised he wouldn't take more land 9but on the compromise that he could keep the land he already took over), but the only reasons why WWII statrted was because Hitler invaded Poland and france and England swore to protect poland if Germany invaded

In common with the rest of the world they appeased Hitler in his desire for more territory until 1939 when they declared war on him after he invaded Poland. Other countries such as the USA continued appeasing him until they were forced to join the fight.

interesting question, yet no longer very answerable till you tell me what you experience is "spectacular." Britain and France declared warfare by using fact they have been in an alliance with Poland, which Germany had invaded. the US did no longer precisely "refuse" to declare warfare -- we purely weren't part of that alliance. Neither we nor our formal allies were attacked. the american people did no longer choose for to bypass to warfare in Europe lower back after having gained little in WWI. So replaced into it legally spectacular? confident. replaced into it the will of the folk? lower back, confident. replaced into it morally spectacular? Given what Hitler replaced into doing, possibly no longer, yet that gets into defining a casus belli.

They tried to give Hitler everything the little weasel demanded, and then when he crossed the last line they did nothing. They mobilized and declared war, but then they sat on their hands behind the Maginot line and waited for his next move. They were passive and meek and they and the world paid a heavy price for their lack of action.
