I didn't think that the US govt had the manpower or money right now to go to war again, but now I'm reading that tensions are building that could trigger a war between the two nations. Is this actually possible? Where would the US get the money/fuel/troops? Or is it just talk?

It's all talk and forget about the logistical need, just look at the Constitution. Congress has to approve of a declaration of war, NOT the President. Do you really think today's Congress has enough warhawks, protectionists, and loyalists to support such a declaration? Not today, man. Not today.

Consider World War II. Everyone, mothers, wives, sisters old people, young people, all served their country's efforts to win the war. Why? It was because we were attacked and thousands died. Now 66 years later the country is overrun by Hanoi Janes, cowards and bleeding heart liberals. The terrorists and Iran know this and under the right circumstances could actually cause the country great harm before these pansies finally realized what needed to be done.
