20 years of civil war, then when there are less than 100,000 Iraqis left, the USA is going to plant their flag and claim it as US territory.

Iraq will continue to function as it has for the last 4,000 years.

Violence and bloodshed until a dictator rises with enough clout to keep things relatively calm.

The idea that a Western style democracy could flower there is an absurdity based on arrogance and hubris.

If the Kurds were split ff into their own nation they would have the best chance of establishing a Democracy, but the neighboring nations would invade and do their best to erase such a state to prevent their own Kurdish populations from revolting.

only the people of iraq can determine their destiny as long as outside interference persists the conflict will not end

America will lord over the place, until all the oil is gone. Any Iraqi who resists will be exterminated. It will also continue to be an enormous sinkhole for American lives and taxpayer's money. Thank you, Bush.

You think I can tell the future? I don't think muslims care too much about democracy, it's just not in their religion, so I don't ever see permanent "success" happening.
