I am in the Navy reserve now after a 4 year active duty stint. I am wondering when they will come out.

Towards the end of fall of 2007. Do a web search for "picture of new navy uniforms" if you haven't seen them. They are really nice looking.

I'm curious about this... I search www.navy.mil and find only information on the developement of a BDU/ACU style uniform to replace the dungarees / coveralls.

I did 10 years as an enlisted (topping out as an AW1)... and honestly HATED the dress uniform (crackerjacks) especially the whites... Tropical whites sucked too as an instructor... endless dry-cleaning bills !!

My last 5 years were as an LDO... ah khakis are just so wonderful !!

I'll monitor this query to see if any shipmates can direct us to WHERE the Navy is headed on the uniform issue...

The phase in is supposed to start late 2008. although it is going to take at least a year or 2 for the transition to finish.
