It is illegal to threaten to assassinate the President of the United States or any other public official.

If you make such a threat you should expect that somebody will report you and you will become 'noticed.'

BTW - Echelon only monitors communications outside of the US borders.

Nah. If you write something like this in an email it doesn't get flagged unless you are already under servalence. Same goes if you say it on your cell phone. Unless you are already being watched, saying those 3 words won't get you "checked" by some secret security agency.
