My heart aches and it brings me to near tears when I see "the honor roll", bios, photos, home town, age, rank etc.

There is something very wrong with this war in Iraq. It's being run very poorly. I've put my life on the line for my family and country before. It's demoralizing to not get 100% support from home.

I say give our brave American military 100% support or get out of Dodge City (Baghdad).

I say we should commit fully to an action any time we put troops in harms way. The antiwar crowd call it an illegal war. To me, the real crime is to allow troops to be killed or maimed only to whine about legality of what those lives and limbs were lost for. Then, in an attempt to PROVE A POINT, they will do everything in their power to declare failure so that our troops may have given all for NOTHING. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory at every turn is a crime, and every freaking politician that participates should be tried for treason.

I am sick of the antiwar, anti-Bush, anti-Blair garbage I see here. It's all about failure, illegal, impeach Bush, debacle, quagmire, murder, destruction, and on and on. Maybe one third of these people actually care, but I feel sure they just do not understand. The rest are actively trying to demoralize our troops and desire the defeat of our troops for the ultimate goal of gloating over the failure of the Bush Administration.

I'm disgusted. I have no idea why I come back here. Like I think I can make a difference in this sea of power envy and hate. What was I thinking?

because of the fact we've been fightin a conflict and did no longer have the time - nor had to possibility our very own human beings's lives in sorting out the human beings attempting for Darwin Awards from the enemy infantrymen. There are protocols that journalists on the battlefield are meant to stick to to circumvent being targetted by using one area or the different. only as there are protocols for marking autos and people who attempt to help the wounded in try against. those protocols are there for a reason. they're there so the pilots in the helicopters can say: 'carry it - that's a reporter!" or "that's an ambulance!." in actuality you're able to be incensed on the enemy for this incident. international regulation demands anybody engaged in try against to placed on some form of uniform or disticntive marking so as that the different area can tell the civilians aside from the combatants. And this incident is an occasion of what occurs whilst human beings like your self tolerate the enemy's violating international regulation in this rely. .

Death is sad, but as in all wars, necessary. My daughter is in the Army. You do not go into the Army for the fun. You know that eventually there will be a good chance that u will be seeing some action. That is why they prepare u in boot campand other training facilities.
If at any time I saw someone dishonor a soldier, I will make that person very sorry they ever opened their mouth....

I am trying very hard to understand your question fully. I am a gold star sibling, which means i am the sibling of someone who was killed in a war. In my case it was my brother, who was killed in Iraq.
How did you come to the conclusion that this war is being run poorly? are you in the military? so u have some inside knowledge that our military does not have?
It is to me very insulting to hear anti-war and anti-bush comments. my brother laid his life down along with many others,,,because they believed in what they are doing.. the only reason i can come to about you thinking the way you do.. is that you watch the news..WAAAY TOO MUCH.
what is really goin on over there is not fully reported,, we are making big steps in helping that country.. are you one of those that thinks we should pull out now.. cause if you are.. how the hell do u think the rest of the world would look at our country for going over there and not finishing what we started,,,
thatcountry has come aloong way since we have been there..try doing some real research, talk to some veterans,,,find out what great strides we are really making over there,,, thank you for all the support but get some real news in your head first.. not just what you see on tv.
think about this,, we went over there believing they had WMDs.. apparently they didnt or they are hidden well enough.. but had we decided not to go there.. and to stay out of it,, and they turned around and used those WMDs (weapons of mass destruction) on us.. what then?? we would all be crucifying bush for not going in there and straightening out that country,,,
these are the way that country has lived for years., it takes alot of time and effort to get them to believe we are really there to help them.. they do want our help.. no matter what you think we are doing wrong or watch on tv.
it hurts me when people come to this judgement,, that we are thier for no reason.. that to me means that my brother and so many others died for nothing,.. is that what you think? cause thats how it sounds

Yes, but i am also thankful that they put their lives on the line to protect and preserve my freedom and for that i'm thankful. I will be leaving for BMT with the Air Force in the summer. When i leave for BMT i will be 19. My mom didn't want me to enlist, but once i turned 18 she couldn't do anything about it. Iwent to my local recruiting station and took the ASVAB and then enlisted. And at times i can't wait to leave. I know the risks involved with this job and if it means that i have to lay my life down, then so be it, i will give my life to protect others and to maintain and preserve our Freedoms. and i know this sounds alittle crazy, but i know that most likely (99.9%) i'm going to be deployed to iraq or afghanistan and i'm ready. It does it me in a soft spot, because, as you know when you said" I've put my life on the line for my family and country." I feel a sense of loss as all of us military members are one big family. I support my fellow " Brothers and Sisters" 100%. God Bless our Soldiers and God Bless the U.S.A.

yes...
but yes to being still a teenager...
when i see the news...and the caster says how many people died today in some suicide bombing or attack it just hurts you....thinking you know...
that could have been someones dad or mom or sibling or husband/wife...and you think..
they lost someone forever...
and what is depressing even more is that this war is now a total mess...and it would still be a mess if we oulled out now<--civil war...
