My fiance has re enlisted after a 3 year break from the army and would like to take me along as his wife.At what point in the reenlistment paper work does he need the marriage license or marriage certificate or both?

He does not need to turn in the paperwork when he re-enlists. He needs to turn in the paperwork as soon as you get married.

In fact he should already be asking his supervisor what he needs to do.

well i was in the navy, I'm pretty sure it's the same process, he needs to go with the people that take care of his records...where ever he is station (for us is the admin people) and they will get a copy of it, that way he can get started with the marriage pay. And I'm pretty sure when they prepare his paperwork for re-enlistment, they will take it into account :)

if you get married before you enlist, he needs your marriage certificate and your birth certificate to give to the Recruiter. It's part of his enlistment packet.

If you get married after he enlists, he needs it to take to his S1/PAC.

He'll need to show proof of marriage before enlisting. If he don't provide this information before enlisting he can be charged with fraudulent enlistment and kicked out.

After you get married he'll need to take it to the PAC sgt. in the MEPS station, or if he's already Oconus his unit PAC will do it.
