why do americans buy Japanese products? Mitsubishi made war planes for japan. It's because the companies and countries have changed..... And no it's not the same as your example about blacks

it is a tough question. In the 1960's Jews did not often duy the german cars, prefering American or even french luxury vehicles.

Time has passed and Germany is now an ally so we can start to forgive and trade. Just like Americans have been purchasing Japanese cars and goods.

In the end, it is a personal decision but not an easy decision. Some Jews beleive it is a way of saying to the Germans.....you did not get all of us and I can afford to buy your expensive products and we have prospered. Many Jews are also pragmatic and not consumed with bitter feelings....just wary of protecting our families.
Now...if Nazi's became powerful in Germany once again I am sure jews would boycott all german goods and services.


FYI - read your note on Jews as Americans....of course their are Jewish americans....this goes back to the formation of our country.

If you mean back in the 1930's and 40's then the answer is simple buying cars wasn't like it is now. It was very rare to own an imported car and expensive. Thus if you were a German Jew in Germany the cheapest set of wheels you could get were BMW and VW or Auto union or Opel otherwise you would have to buy a french or English car and then you have the problem of parts so it was simple practicality that drove a German to buy a German car.
