This is actually a good question. Not the usual mindless B.S. I find on Yahoo! Answers. My take is this:

Allies - U.S. ,Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan, Israel, South Korea

Axis - Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea

Those are the ones that I feel will join forces first. Most of Europe will side with the Allies. China and Russia are the wild cards here. If I had to make a decision I would say China goes Axis and Russia goes Allies.

A few things will happen. (1) There will be a draft. (2) Tactical nuclear weapons will be used. (3) The Allies will win.

I believe you are partially right however I would be inclined to add a few to both sides.
Allies: US, UK, Israel, Poland, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, S.Korea, Australia.

Axis Powers: Iran, Syria, N.Korea, Russia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua.

Yet to be determined: China, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Turkey, Belarus, The Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Italy, France and a handful more that I have overlooked.

I mention Russia because of all the clandestine and under handed activity it has been involved with, since Iran hit the charts of renegade country's trying to nuke up!

Allies: USA, England, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Panama, Mexico, Turkey (a key country for its location), Canada, Poland, Italy, France, Germany, Australia, India, Afghanistan (see Turkey), Saudi Arabia, Phillipines, Spain, New Zealand, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Yemen, United Arab Emrites, Pakistan, Ehtiopia, Kuwait, and Guatamala.

Axis: Iran, Syria, North Korea, Venezula, Cuba, and Lebanon.

Toss-ups: Russia (probably with the Allies), China (no idea), Oman, Yemen, Brazil, Argentina, and Egypt.

Good point; Russia will definetly side with the Axis powers this time through (their economy is in shambles) and they will desperately need the the oil from those countries.
China will also side with the Axis powers. They are vying for the spot of the world's next Super Power. They're buying power, military strength, and huge population will allow them to successfully lead the new Axis Powers.

The Allies will be incredibly limited: USA, UK, South Korea, Japan, Israel, and possibly some former Eastern Block European Powers. France and Germany are no longer world players and don't have the backbone to fight; let alone defend themselves.

The next threat is a combined one; its is Islamo-Facism combined with Communism. Democracy will find itself hard pressed to defend itself. Open war and peaceful subversion (like the Islamo-Fascists slowly, and legally, taking over France and Germany).

Prepare yourselves, this war may not include much open fighting, but it is taking place non-the-less.

the main substantial international powers won't have interaction in open warfare. what's going to ensue is they're going to use their political, militia, economic and cultural impression to play around with smaller soverign countries (because of the fact the U.ok. and U.S. are doing in the middle East good now) and have interaction one yet another in direct economic warfare.
