I live in the state of Ohio, and in Columbiana County.

i was looking up a neighbors case and I am confuse as to what all this means.........
The person has 4 charges...
1.Trafficking in Drugs...2 counts.degree of offense, Felony 3rd degree.
2.Trafficking in Drugs..1 count....degree of offense , Felony 4th degree.
3. Possession of Drugs...2 counts...degree of offense, Felony 5th degree.
4.Forfeiture Specifcation...1 count...degree of offense,..
Unclassified Felony.

I need the above plainly explain, if any lawyer is out there or knowledgeable person of Ohio law.
and...... if there is any where online I can look up all these law codes ????

By just taking a wild guess do you think this person will get any jail time at all........?

They are the type of person, that can fall in poop and come out smelling like a rose... ( I am sure we all have known a person in our lifetime like that )

oh yes, he is 57, and is gaurdian of 43 retarded brother, will he skip jail time

The neighbor upstairs from me has 3 children and she does not have a job. There are people in and out of her apartment all day and night. She always acts like she is on drugs and I am quit postive that she deals drugs. Can I call the police without having proof or evidence except for what I see all day? I am concerned for her children and I am not comfortable with strangers wandering by my apartment. I don't want to move I was here way before her..

Luckily here in the beautiful state of NH we dont have to once we reach 18, but everytime i drive out of state i have to put it on or risk getting a ticket.

Now im aware that its more dangerous to not wear one, but as a grown adult (24) shouldn't i have the right to decide if i want to or not? I mean i can legally drink knowing that its bad for my liver, and legally smoke knowing its bad for my lungs.

Its a personal preference for me not to wear one, and i shouldnt have to explain that to anyone. Also, how does me NOT wearing a seat belt affect the government/police negatively? it doesnt and that makes it even more stupid

I got a speeding ticket for going 90mph in a 55 mph zone ( highway). My reason for speeding, is that I am a new driver and the officer was tailgating me, trying to make me go faster. I got nervous, especially since the officer was in an unmarked green car. i thought it was a regular driver tailgating me, so i sped off to avoid him.

Do you think this is a good enough reason for my actions? Also, this cop was in an unmarked vehicle like I said, and I really don't think that he had my speed recorded to use as evidense.

Oh yeah, and earlier, there was another cop that WUZ marked as police, in front of me. I was in between the cop infront of me, and the unmarked cop behind me. the one behind me was trying to make me go faster by tailgating me ( as i mentioned)

Today he was told he had 90 days in jail and to be back in January. The officer told us that I could recommend anger management classes, which we find out are $3000. Which is fine but why are they sentencing him to 90 days in jail and fines when this is his first offense, for anything, ever. Does anyone know the DV law for alabama?

What can we do, i have three children who live with me, they donot have to live like this. help

Is it true that if you have to go to court for a speeding ticket you won't have pay anything if the officer who wrote the ticket does not show up. I got the ticket in Atlanta two weeks ago. Any idea how this works? I have never gone to court before and I haven't received a ticket in 16 years. Any help would be appreciated.

I am doing some research on Bounty Hunters and the legality of the "profession". I can't resolve a question which I need answering as I get conflicting reports from politicians and those in the legal profession. Does Florida allow Bounty Hunters to operate in that State? Does Florida have a licensing system for Bounty Hunters?

Thanks, looking forward to your replies. :)

Does anyone know if it isi true that a police officer can not pull you over more than one mile after the incident occured (speeding, failure to signal, basic stuff)? I understand if they are chasing you for more than a mile they can obviously pull you over, but what if they claim you did somehting (for instance following to close) more than a mile (in my case, about 3 miles) from where they pulled you over (I didn't try to outrun him to get outside the one mile marker either, I stopped when he pulled up behind me from the entrance ramp, so how he saw me 'following too close I have no idea....)...

Thank you so much for your two responses, maybe I did not give the correct details judging by the answers. There is a loan agreement signed by both parties in the amount of $4,000 with the vehicle's title being held by the lender as collateral for the promissary note. This is clearly written within the note. There was no need to file the lien as the loan has not defaulted. He is currently paying the loan back and is in good standing. The problem is he is being sherriffs saled and the vehicle has been listed as property to be sold for another completely different matter. We filed objections at the District Magistrate to the property being levied for the sherriffs sale and intend to show the promisarry note and the proof of payments made on this loan, so that the vehicle will be removed from the list of items to be sold, as the PRIMARY LIENHOLDER. This is at the local district justice and whever I go into court in the local DJ, I ALWAYS take in proof, ie case law, statutes, whatev
