The neighbor upstairs from me has 3 children and she does not have a job. There are people in and out of her apartment all day and night. She always acts like she is on drugs and I am quit postive that she deals drugs. Can I call the police without having proof or evidence except for what I see all day? I am concerned for her children and I am not comfortable with strangers wandering by my apartment. I don't want to move I was here way before her..

I do not want to be a snitch or a rat I could care less if someone does drugs or sells them. I am concerned for those children who have no choice. What if its a drug deal gone bad and one of those kids gets shot I would feel awful that I didn't speak up. No child should have to live like that

Man, I cannot believe the answers you people have! What is this about "mind your own business" and "dont be a snitch"? This is a serious issue involving not only those kids, but the person who posed the question as well! When you say mind your own business, I say "THIS IS THEIR BUSINESS!"
I have been around drug dealers before and I can guarantee you, bad sh** eventually happens. And its not always the dealer that it happens to.
I agree to go the anonymous route to protect her. But Im sick of people who have that attitude that its "non of their business". -Do you guys remember that vid clip of that poor old man getting the snot kicked out of him in broad daylight by that thug who was robbing him? There were people all around! And yes, the vid shows that they did see it. People did NOTHING to help this poor guy! Made me sick to my stomach.
Stop telling people to "mind their own business". They are SELLING DRUGS with little children in the house! What is wrong with you people?

My advise is to call child services,it is completely confidential and they will send someone out to check on the kids and if they think there is drugs involved they will drug test her and search her home this will insure the well being of the child and will also protect you from conflict,do everything you can I hate drugs and i don't feel like any child should be subjected to the abuse,Your a very brave and good hearted person I know you will do whats right!!!

If your worried about her children, then call Social Services, they like to show up unexpectedly, that way she is caught off guard, if anything is going on that they can visibly see or smell, then they take the children and call the police. You also remain anonymous doing that, if nothing happens the first time keep calling, they will catch her.

yes, you can talk to the police. You should try to talk to someone in vice that deals with drugs, rather than a patrol officer.

Give them the information you have and stay out of the way.
If she or her suppliers find out you are involved they will not hesitate to kill you and your children.

You can do one or two things--Call child protection services or call and report the situation to the police, I'm not sure if you need to reveal your name or not, but if you think the children are in danger by all means call and report.

No, just move. You won't get a medal for snitching, you will only get yourself shot once the cops tell your neighbor it was you. Not only that, the crackheads will come after you, for getting there supplier knocked. Save yourself the trouble, JUST SAY NO!

Yes, please do. Explain to them about the people coming and going at all hours. You may want to call the non-emergency line and see if they have a task force that is more appropriate for drug investigations.

You can always call the police department and ask to talk to a narcotics officer. The worst thing they will do is tell you they can't help you.

Yes and you can do it anonymously. Just give them the information you have and they will decided if an investigation is in order

You can call crime stoppers and simply tell them about the heavy traffic of people going to her door. You can voice your suspicions.
