I am holding a title to a vehicle in Pennsylvania for a personal loan as collateral. Now, the owner of the vehicle is being sheriffed sale and the vehicle is part of the property being claimed for sale. I have filed an objection to the levy of the truck, but I have to prove that I am the priority lienholder. Any suggestions to prove that the property is exempt from sale and that I am the priority lienholder? Please help.

My ex no longer has rights to our daughter. He signed away his parental rights when she was an infant and she doesn't know him now. My husband adopted her whens he was 2. He's the only father she knows.

There has been some trouble with the ex lately. He's decided he didn't want to sign his rights over and feels like he is entitled to visits even though he signed away his rights to visitation years ago. I feel it would be emotionally damaging to her at this point to have to see him, so I told him no.

He then told me that he'd find a way to see her, even if it meant going to her preschool and taking her. I called the police about it and was told this was a civil matter and they couldn't step in?

Is that true? Or did I come into contact with some lazy cops?

Unfortunately we got pulled over and he got a dui in my car. The police arranged a ride for me, and left my car at a parking lot. They put him in jail and got released after 8 hours now he has to go to court on Dec.3rd. My question is what will his punishments be? For 1st time offense and he has a clean record. He does not own a car he is only 24. He works for the city (it is a driving job he has his own truck) on the weekends. He has been with the city for a year now. He has a full time job elsewhere, and he is a server at a rest on sat and sun nights. Do you think the judge will be lenient with him because it was his 1st mistake? I told him I will help pay half of his monthly court fees..but what does a 1st time offense go through? What penalties should he expect? And will he loose his job for the city? Can't he get a restricted license and still work for the city? Please help he is freaking out and I want to help him by being there for him. But I want to know what to expect.

I was driving in SC on my bike 81 in a 70 while on my bike i was pulled over the officer said that I was trying to run after I pulled over, I however was not and could not hear him over my bike's engine and wind after 8mi he said I finally pulled over (This was the first time I saw him in my mirror) I was taken to a crappy county jail and held 13 hours while my famiely in MD found a bonds man to pay my bail (680 the cost of my speeding and fail to stop ticket) Now after I have paid all my fines they have sent a letter to me in college saying my licience is susspened on the 10th november till 9th december.

My question is Is this legal? I was told that if I paid my fines I would just get points and my licience would be fine and this whole rediculous thing could be forgotten. SC is a crappy state and the redneck cop who pulled me over was rude and very unprofessional send me some advice or recomindations please!!!!!!

Should police officers be punished harsher for crimes than regular citizens? I know they serve the community and do a lot of good so that makes me want to say no, however when a police officer breaks the law it ruins the reputation of police, the government as a whole, the city, state, etc. It also hurt the faith of the rest of us in the police so for that reason I say yes. What do you think?

What do you think about a person who tries to use emergency and ambulance drivers for their personal use?
A neighbor of mine, who was quite elderly and very over weight, was always trying to beat the "system", one way or another, would have a "fall" about twice a month then call 9ll and ask for assistance in getting up and then would say "Oh, and would you please stop by and pick me up a hamberger on your way out? It never worked but she kept trying until they finally put her in a nurseing home

I just found out that an ex boyfriend of mine, who put me through hell and stole, lied, etc., got out of prison in GA in June of this year. He'd been in since 2004, when I participated in a sting operation with the US Marshalls to put him there (I wasn't kidding when I said he was a bad dude). His last words to me were that he was going to 'get' me - now he's out, and I am scared. He was in the pen in GA, and I live in OK, so there's that - he doesn't know my address or place of work, and I have changed my car since he knew me. The only information he has is my dad's address - I am afraid he would go there.

What can I do to protect myself?

My son was coming home with a friend (my son was the passenger, the friend, the driver.) The car was pulled over, and the friend was arrested for DUI. Meanwhile, the cops found a marijuana pipe in the back seat. Both boys denied it was theirs, and the cops charged both of them. Meanwhile, the driver has since pleaded guilty to the possession charge, but my son has also been charged and we have to go to court for it. Since the other boy has admitted it's his, will the charges against my son likely be dropped?

I live in Ontario Canada. I have a friend who was pulled over 2 times for speeding. Both times he said he did not have his drivers license and ownership and both times the officer gave him some paper to take into the court house where they verified his details and through out the speeding ticket. He never got a fine or demerit point.

Is this a backdoor way out of getting a speeding ticket in Ontario?

I remember the incident and have checked the lights in question as it isn't my style to purposely jump red lights. I think the possibility could be because there are two sets of traffic lights on the same road, less than 30m apart. The furthest set turn to green about a second or two before the nearest set (which I was at) I was stationary but I believe I set off on seeing the furthest set turn to green. Can I argue the case that when at the line it was easily confusing when seeing the furthest set turn to green and that they should be set to turn green at the same time to make it less confusing? Is it worth arguing the case and what happens if they judge against me? I don't mind paying a fine but to get points on my license would be a real pain!

I have a cool idea for a halloween costume, but I am afraid that it might be semi-illegal. I want to dress up as a SWAT team member decked out in all black, with the kevlar helmet, ballistic shield, and gas mask, etc. I will NOT have a weapon (real or fake, as I want to be able to wear this @ my college). Now if my vest says "police" on it is this considered impersonating a police officer?

Police Officers are not really loved like they should be at work and yes, they have a job to do, but the work place can be stressful. Each offcier takes a stress test when their hired,. but after that their free to go. Some officers are stressed out beyond normal limits.

Dont' you think they should be checked for stress levels each year????

They put their lives at risk each and every time they leave the home. That's stressful enough to do just that,.

Ok, my brother got caught yesterday stealing a tester bottle of cologne from macys. When he walked out of the store, he said that a guy with a cop badge stopped him and asked him for the merchandise. The guy said he would let him go and not to do it ever again. My bro(who was being very compliant with the officer) is scared that the guy was just saying that, and that he might look at the parking lot cameras and get his cars liscense plates and turn him in and we maybe get a ticket in the mail or something? do you guys think it will happen? hes so scared because hes 18 and he could go to jail.
