I am an officer in SC and first off if you don't like it then MOVE. Second of all, yes if you don't stop for us then its failure to stop for blue lights/siren. Its not our problem you "cant hear us" because of your piece of crap motorcycle. Thats why we use BOTH lights AND siren. So you can see/hear us one way or another. Moron.

It is legal. You should see SC56-5-750. Unfortunately, you should have retained a lawyer and gone to trial. They give out this ticket freely to bikers, but it in the case that the driver pulled over of their free will it is hard to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
To be clear to all posters, we are not talking about failing to stop for a loud blaring siren. The cops are riding around in unmarked Impala's with literally a blue light on their dashboard. In other states the same set up is used by firefighters trying to get to the station.
And to be exceedingly clear to Copgirl. It is your problem, when it's your duty to charge accordingly, not just because you have a personal problem with the individual. A reasonable person keeps his eyes on the road and doesn't constantly check for lights behind him. Read the law and be a better person, mitch.

I live in SC and I don't know what town you were in, but the state troopers have a LOUD siren. If the speed limit was 70, you were certainly on the interstate, so the city police would not be pulling you over anyway. If you traveled 8 miles before you bothered to check your rearview, you need driving lessons. Your eyes are supposed to be constantly moving.

There is very little in your little story I believe. When you get a ticket you get so many points against your license. If you get more than so many points your license is suspended. Since you paid the fine you plead guilty to the ticket. I suspect you have other tickets as well. You lucky it was only a month. The officer could very well have criminally charged you for fleeing and eluding.

Yankees.... Just because you get pulled over, the guy's rude. He was only doing his job. I'm pretty sure that you'd get pulled over in Maryland for the same thing, punished the same as well. If you are this ignorant about the law, get off the bike.

a million) In my journey, the typical man or woman's definition of "speeding" and "flying by way of" is purely their theory and has no longer genuine foundation. The twist of fate investigator will use actual information and technological awareness to confirm the officer's velocity. 2) You pronounced you drove your automobile into the "median," so i think it wasn't a raised shrink yet particularly marked by way of painted lines. via fact you're required to shuttle in trouble-free terms in the lane of site visitors and not in the median, you violated the automobile code. 3) My wager is once you pulled into the median, it replaced into without postpone in front of the Officer. in any different case, he or she would have had time to observe you to sidestep a collision. And, as a driver, in case you're making any sort of turn or lane exchange, you're meant to exercising warning and look previously making that flow to make certain there are no longer any autos. Had you accomplished so, perhaps you will have seen that officer with the blue lighting fixtures. 4) An Officer enroute to an emergency is exempt from the automobile code, using due warning, in the overall performance of his or her responsibilities.

8 miles? That is over 5 minutes at 81 MPH. You should have probably checked your mirror several times in that span.
It is perfectly legal that you were arrested.
