(I was very hesitant to post this because I am very sensitive about this subject. I hate thinking about it and I know it does not reflect what type of person I am today.)

I meet this guy just a few days before I turned 16. He was 18. Then night I meet him I had sex with him. We continued this relationship. We talked all the time on the phone. One night he asked me if I would ever have a three some with him and his cousin. I said sure but I was joking. A couple days later I heard a few rocks at my window. I look out; I see him and another guy. I walk out all cheery. Though then he asks if I will have sex with him and his cousin. I was shocked, I told him no. He didn't even say he was bringing his friend he just came over. I am not sure but I think I was crying. I had my face against the wall not looking at him. The most disgusting thing about it was when he leaned up against me he had a bon*r. How could he be horny when I am sitting their being really upset?

So, at about 3am on Nov. 1 I missed a dear and drove into a ditch totaling my car. I thought that I would have enough time to get my boyfriend to come down and help me tow it out. He got off of work at 6am, and said that he would be there at around 7am.
I did not know that leaving the side of the road where I crashed was a crime, nore did I know that negligence was not an excuse.
I went back to the place I was at and got wasted because I was so upset about my first car being totaled.
When we got there, my car had already been towed.
I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about what I was going to do, no job, no money, car in impound and ruined.
Then a cop came to my door at 11am. I really don't remember the converstation, but he talked to me about the accident I told him what happened, he MADE me take a breathaliser and then he gave me a DWI!!
How can he give me a drink and drive when I was at my house?
Can anyone explain to me this, or what might happen to me??
Thanks!

In my hometown, whenever someone is arrested, the officers don't read them their miranda rights. I thought it was the law that this was supposed to happen upon arrest. How can they get away with it?

How is it that if someone assaults me, they have to pay money to the COURT? As if the court was a victim? The court is supported by the state, not by fines from defendants. And i'm not talking court costs, I'm talking 500 "safe neighborhood fee" 1000 "anti-drug" fee, 500 probation fee, and much more. It seems a little ridiculous that they should make money off people like this. And why should I have to use a public defender who is paid by the court? A prosecutor who owned stock in a defendant's company would NEVER be allowed. And why should I be stuck with a criminal record that bars me from getting even the dumbest jobs that a trained chimp could do, like stocking shelves at Kohls for 9 bucks an hour, practically guaranting that I have to commit another crime or live in a cardboard box? And no, trolls, obviously I am using "i and me" as an example.

A White Center woman faces domestic-violence charges after she bit off her ex-boyfriend's lower lip as they were kissing, the King County Sheriff's Office reported.

The 49-year-old victim told police that the two kissed several times in a bedroom when, without provocation, she chomped off his lip and spit it out, the Sheriff's Office reported. Police were called about 11:30 p.m. Monday to the White Center home and found the victim sitting on the porch, bleeding.

"There was quite a bit of blood. He could talk, but just barely," Sgt. John Urquhart said.

Every cop in my city smokes.
Is it the stress from the job?
If it is, I totally understand.

I do not like smoking by the way.

I was wondering what happens? Probably something minor like filing a false police report but personally I think if someone intentionally accuses someone of something that's not true they should have to serve the maximimum sentence that the person falsely accused would have had to serve. Also, can people sue false accusers?

Many people get arrested for things they didn't do and sometimes for things they really did but weren't convicted of. So why isn't there a law that says arrest records should be automatically erased after someone had their charges dropped. I was arrested for assault & battery and I was booked and everything, but they determined it was self-defense and they dropped the charges, but I still have an arrest record. Why should my pic stay at the police station's mugshot album forever? I don't think it's fair!

Sir Norman Bettison is Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police.
We in the service joined it because we wanted to be of assistance to people in a crisis. But the armchair perfection of the "health and safety Taliban" is intent on coming between us: creating doubt, where there was once certainty, over our mission; and demonstrating, post hoc, the chaos that surrounds all crises as evidence of a failure to plan and protect.

I for one would love to live in a place where it was up to each and every individual to protect themselves and their property. Furthermore I would enjoy mass chaos while in commute from point A to point B. Lastly I'd like to see people free to solve their own problems or just suffer in silence. Anybody else feel this way?

If the cop is sitting at the side of the road and monitoring a speed of passing cars, there is probably nothing illegal about it. But are there any rules that govern that activity? For instance, can he just point his radar on EVERY passing car? Or maybe he has to “choose” the car because he suspects it of speeding? Where would I look for these rules? Are there state laws? (I’m interested in the state of New York) Any local laws or regulations?
