He will get booked into county jail and then be offered a bail amount. Pay the bail or get a bondsman and then he is released and give a court date. In and out in a couple hours at most.

Its just that simple

This depends on what the fine is for. Also what type of warrant it is, if it is a bench warrant (say for not showing to court on a driving offence) and he pays hes free to go. If it is for not showing to court for a traffic violation and he has money to pay in full they will not arrest. If it is because he missed court on some other charge than there is more of a likely hood of arrest. If the warrant is for something else, like violation of probation he can expect to not only owe the money but also be arrested. So really, it all depends on the type of warrant, and the inital cause of arrest if he was arrested. Most the time you can pay and be okay. (My cousins like to not pay traffic violations)

He needs to make an appearance in court and explain why he hasn't paid the fine. Then make arrangements to do so.
