It is FAR BETTER for you to go in voluntarily than for them to have to pick you up at a traffic stop involuntarily. Odds are if you go in yourself, you'll just pay a fine (a slap on the wrist)... but if you get pulled over, you COULD do some county time (depending on the situation).

Contact the court that issued the bench warrants (there's usually a number in the front of the phone book for the Clerk of the Court), and determine the best way for you to clear the bench warrants. If you can simply get an appearance before the judge and guarantee you'll show up, the bench warrants could be vacated or cancelled. All a lawyer is going to do is contact the court and get your appearance arranged, which is probably something you could do yourself.

I'm not sure about Cali. but in the state where I live in NC a bench warrant expires after 2 years. And trust me I have been throught this same thing MULTIPLE times. But what you do to get it fixed is go down to your county court house and go to the clerk room and file for a new court. it's called VA court. They will usually issue you a new court date at that time and then you show up explain y and that your sorry pay a crap load of fines and move on. Otherwise they can (but rarely) deny you and then you would be arrested and immediately released on very small bail and then be given a new court date. They usually only deny you if the warrant is still good.Hope this helps but you should look online or even better call your county court house and talk to a clerk.

It means you can arrested at any time for not appearing. I would recommended consulting with an attorney. Public Defender should be sufficient if you only dealing with simple parking and traffic violations.

sure, there's a threat he could be bailed out lower back. First the court docket could come to a determination to allow a clean bail bond to be published. If the recent bond quantity is affordable then a bondsman could be got here upon prepared to place up bail on somebody with a failure to look on the case. For the 2d time around be arranged for a plenty bigger bond quantity and stricter situations of launch.

Just go in be honest with the judge and pay the fines. It beats getting caught on the street. Besides if you chose to go in on your own it looks better. If you are really worried about it and you have the spare cash laying around then get a lawyer.

It means that you haven't responded to what ever violations that you had and you might be arrested for doing so.
