I have neighbors who have shot my rooster while it was in a cage, on my property,
and has shot my guinea fowl, also in a cage on my property.
The police were notified and a report filed.
Now, they have been sprinkling seeds in front of my house and making a trail to
their house. We contacted the police, and when he questioned our neighbors,
they said that they were trying to lure the chickens into their yard so that they could shoot them.
We contacted the Hawaii Island Humane Society 24 hour emergency service and
were told that chickens are edible and so it did not matter.
I have done research on the Hawaii state laws governing animal cruelty.
