Thanks, but being a cop for 20 years, I wonder how "thankful" you would be if your son, husband or even you were ticketed or arrested, would you still think we were a breed apart. One of the drawbacks of being a cop is skepticism

Than you for your support. I am a veteran of the US Army 8 years and now I am proud to continue to serve as a Police Officer.
it's not a thankless job. Most of the satisfaction comes from within of a job well done. We all got into the job knowing that not everyone out there likes us, but we do it for the satisfaction we get of helping others. But it is nice to hear that the people do appreciate what we sacrifice.

Thank you very much. I was a cop for 21 years and it was great. I got paid to ride a motorcycle, teach DARE to some of the greatest kids in the world and just do what I wanted to do since I was in 6th grade.
My question now is what to do since I'm grown up and I already did the job I dreamed of?
