If a police officer doen't enforce the limit until you have excidedt it by 5 or nore mph over then he is changing the law his job is to enforce the law equaly to all violators not change it to fit his wishes. If the speed is 55 then all going over 55 56 and up , he/she would be requied to enforce the law by waiting tell the violation is greated would mean he is taking the law in he/s own hands thus changing the law,

I live in old apartments and the walls and floors and ceilings are thin apparently. My downstairs neighbors are currently playing god knows what at an ungodly volume. As I type my couch is shaking...and it's 3:30 am. It's been going on for months but usually not this bad or this late at night so I haven't been that mad. But tonight it's unbearably loud and it's woken my 18 month old daughter once already. My question is this...what does a disturbance of the peace charge entail punishment-wise? If I just wait till tomorrow and talk to the landlord what would the consequences be then? Which do you suggest doing? They do this every weekend and have since the day they moved in. I'm getting insanely fed up. Please give me some advice this is the first time I've had to deal with this.

A retired cop and his wife a school police can prohibit their neighbors from parking their vehicles in the streets? Or threaten to take action against them? Nobody is blocking their driveway or causing any disturbance. My neighbor owns 5 cars and he told them that they couldn't park their cars in front of their own home! It can be this be possible?

So I am watching the Dateline NBC special to catch a predator and I am thinking to myslef. This is probably the 3rd installation I have seen in a short time. Sure this will catch a few paedophiles in a few localized locations, but is this over exposure going to ultimately hurt in catching paedophiles overall? It seems to me that as people become more aware of this that many criminals and minors looking to elicit sex will just alter their tactics and be more deceptive and harder to catch? So what do you think, is it ultimately good or bad?

A sex offender record expunged and goes to law school and gets a certificate, and becomes a police officer in that area, how can the comunity in that area be aware of it. Or how can he get away with this?

I want to know if CT reports to MA. A woman from my insurance agency said from personal experience, they don't as long as you pay the ticket. I would rather pay the fine than to lose credits on my insurance for 3 years. Otherwise, a little input on the justice system in CT would be nice.
(82 in a 65) Nice officer, but wasn't that nice to let it slide like those awesome MA troopers.

The article clearly says a drunk driver hit a pedestrian and a car twice. Cops shot the drunk driver until the car stopped. Are the cops heroes or murderers?

It seems like every time I see a cop they are complete jerks. I know they aren't supposed to be super nice and gentle when they're on the job busting criminals, but can they be anymore of an a-..? Something I also noticed is their tone of voice. They talk to people in a certain tone as if they're overall just better than the people and treats them like retards. I often see this on Cops as well as when I personally experienced talking to one.

The police's past brute actions (e.g. UFC student being mercilessly, needlessly and repeatedly tazered for a lightweight reason.) don't really help lessen this image either.

Why has this case been around so long when there is no evidence of a crime and DNA has disproven the allegation? Is this a reverse hate crime, that is the players were charged because of their race?

We disagreed on money owed (by a friend who broke her neck-I was picking something up for her) & I started to leave, he said he would call the police, I said go ahead & walked out, pretty peeved, got in my car, looked onto the street for on-coming traffic, put it in reverse, stepped on the gas to back out and get on the road(I was parked against a curb), then out pops the guy from the back of my car, he was crouched down with a pen& paper taking down my license plate number-I couldn't see him until he jumped out. The car didn't touch him but the complaint was that I tried to run him over. I left & returned to my friend's house. She said she spoke to him & he said that due to his mental anguish of almost being run-over by me, he filed a commplaint for his "mental injuries". He also said he would drop all charges but it would cost me $400.00. I called him to tell him I'd be glad to pay him what was owed ($5.00 was all) and he said about the same as he said to my friend... that he would drop all charges BUT it would cost me $400. A detective called me today and got my side of what happened.
I would love to see everyone's comments on whether you think the case will go to trial or should I sue him and the place of business where he works and where this happened for slander and extortion.
