I love radar detectors at night. When I pull in behind a car, not to stop them, I turn on my radar to see the lights in their vehicle go off. It's quite entertaining on a slow night. As stated earlier, when your detector goes off in a laser mode, you may as well start looking for a place to pull over.

If you mean the thing that you mount on the dash and beeps when radar is dected? if so police only turn on there radar when the subject appears to be speeding. by time the subject's dector goes off, it is to late to slow down and the cop will pull him over. But to answer your question, yes I do trust radar, unless you have a conspiracy against cops pullin you over for no reason.
