I am in college and looking to get a job in law enforcement. I am very interested in the New Hampshire highway patrol. Is it the same as the troopers? What are the differences? Which one is better to apply to?

Student located bullets in park and took to school?

A STUDENT LOCATED SOME BULLETS I AT THE PARK NEXT TO THE SCHOOL I WORK AT. THE BULLETS WERE RECOVERED BY SECURITY. QUESTION SHOULD THE SHERIFF JUST COME AND JUST BOOK PROPERTY AS 928PC

my mom left me a threat message can i put her in jail for it?

she used the words, "i will beat you senseless, and bury your body in the ground"
im only 15. and she lives in texas i live in virginia. i know why shes mad but i dont want her to hurt any of my family in texas. becuase i know she will. and i cant do anything bout it.. shoud i call the cops. but my family doesnt want the police involved becuase my mom will get even more mad and possiby hurt someone physicaly. i want her to be put in jail

i got a ticket for a parking violation but its one of those tickets where the ticket is a envelope. I dont know wether to send it or to go to some place and pay it? I got it at ontario, CA in the Onatario Mills mall.

i went to jail?

i went to jail for no reason. i had a warrent a while ago and i went to court for it. the court cancelled the warrent since i went to court and the sheriffs department didnt so i got pulled over and went to jail. my dad came and bailed me out. dont you think i should get my money back? how can i do this when they are saying no?

whats wrong with the police in the USA today?

Why are they getting away with muder like in Atlanta and NYC and in other places in this country EVERYDAY. How can the police investigate themselve (ala Internal Affairs) and be honest, isn't that a conflict of interest, worthless and a total joke?

Does this cause for lawsuit for slander, which resulted in a loss of business?

My brother owns a bar…its actually one of the nicer ones in the state. We have some of the top local bands playing and is really a hot spot among people who attend happy hours. Well, last week my brother noticed sales of alcohol were WAY down one night even though the place was PACKED. Upon investigation, our bathroom attendant notified us that some customer started a false rumor of a DWI checkpoint outside the bar while in the bathroom. Apparently, this rumor spread so quickly that the band even made an announcement notifying all the people there to 'be prepared' We guesstimate this rumor cost the bar close to ten thousand dollars. We have a good idea of who spreaded this horrible rumor and want to sue him in a court of law for lost income…our bathroom attendant can identify him…do we have a case?

Whats the maximum charge for "illegal possession of alcohol" in Virginia?

i was driving last night with a few of my friends. the cop pulled me over because i did an illegal lane change. apparently i was in a turn lane and moved out of the turn lane without signaling which makes sence because i was not from that area and me and my friends were a little turned around trying to find a certain IHOP. about an hour before we left i had like a beer and a half. my friends all had a bit more but i knew i was going to be driving so i made sure i did not drink that much. im 18 and the friends i had in the car were 17. i had a breathalizer reading of .021 n they both had about a .06. the cop told me he was going to give me a break n only give me illegal possession of alcohol. plus the ticket for illegal lane change. i know i am very lucky for this happening however does anyone know the maximum charge i will be facing in court? with just the cop giving me illegal possession of alcohol? (givin the actual situation)

Does the police have arangements with bartenders to call them if someone famous is leaving their bar drunk?

I ask because I've noticed that a bunch of famous black athletes have been getting pulled over in Miami Beach (South Beach) for DIU. It doesn't matter if they pass the tests they still get hauled in and their names are plastered all over the news. Dontrelle Willis of the Marlins being the latest. I know that they've got the money to party in major hotspots and sometimes go overboard. The Miami Beach Police must be unbelievably lucky in their work or else it would seem as if they are being tipped off. I just sounds fishy to me. Has anyone heard of such an arangement going on?
