you have to serve the remainder of your sentence in prison. plus whatever the judge deems appropriate.

Parole Violations vary state to state. Last time I did one it was a year in Ca, that was with no new charges. A different time in Oregon I did 6 months. I think only sex offenders return for original sentence.

Depends entirely on the Law in the jurisdiction, the Judge and his/her feelings on both the initial offense and the violation, The prosecutors ability or lack thereof to convince the Judge to hang you out to dry, and your defense lawyer and his or her ability to convince the Judge about what a fine person you are even though you committed the initial offense and then violated your parole.

here in aus you usually go back to jail and finish your original sentence,but then gain the judge can impose a longer one as well depeding on the violation

normally, when you violate your parole you are returned to jail/prison to finish your original sentence. only in rare instances do they shorten it.
