States Attorneys don't seem to care about justice and the truth. That's why they pile up numerous charges that are all part of the same crime. They do this to ensure they can get a conviction and money from the accused.
Maybe we citizens need to push for a change in the legal system. If you're accused of rape, then that's the charge. Pick the most serious and charge with that. If you don't have the evidence or the proof to push the charges, make them go away.
This multiple charge for the same offense stuff is not right and we still believe it violates your constitutional rights of not being able to be charged twice for the same crime. It's weasel wording charges to get around the constitution and ensure a conviction. The SAs use multiple charges as a bargaining tool instead of working for true justice.

No, it's a case of the prosecutor convicting the guys in his head without a dispassionate look at the evidence. That's like going into math class and saying "five" to your next problem without carefully evaluating the equation.

Publicity; for the "victim" AND the Prosecutor. Both of them should be punished for wasting the public's money. The case was full of holes from the start.

Lacrosse players genius and the whole case was political correctness gone mad. Some crackhead black girls was the "victim" so let's all lynch the white boys. That's the US media for you

No, this is a distraction-style story, meant to keep public attention away from pertinent issues involving how sh!tty our economy is, how the War on Terror is failing miserably, etc..
