I had signed up a stipulation agreement in 2003(when I was overseaa)with First Select to waive the rights and time provision of California code of civil procedure section 583.160,583.210,583.310,583.360,583.410,and 583.420
despite the fact that I had not missed making payments to them. The outstanding amount wasaround $4800, and the payment I committed to make was over $7,000. I only have few more
payments to make, but I don't really think that this is fair. And since I am overseas, I do not have much choice as I have no resource or legal aid that I can get to. Please Help!!SOS!!

I got pulled over for running a temporary red light. Police informed me that 3 cars in front of me also did this but they did not pull any over. Why are the police allowed to prosecute selective offenders? Shouldn't the police have to be consistent and fair? No pictures, have I got grounds to contest?

My dad is a pussy from norway who never takes risks because he's afraid theyll lead to his deportation. I am 18. Today he found my weed stash because i didnt really care if it got discovered. He told me that it would get him deported if it was found in my possession even though i am an "adult". Can he get deported if for some chance it was discovered in my 18 year-old possession in the house?

I had signed up a second stipulation agreement with a collection agent B (which purchased my account from agent A)through the attorney, and have been making payment as required. However, I discovered by accident that when I called up a court file, my case is still active. (They showed details of a filing(summons) with dates of the previous collection agent A- all the facts are untrue, I had never received such a summon, and that I had signed up a stipulation agreement with them too) What can I do?

The amount charged was 898.75 in 3 transations. All at the same place. I closed my credit card acct. today and notified the company that accepted the charges but could not get any information. My bank said they would refund my acct. less 20.00 per transation. I contacted my local sheriff dept. to start an investagation. Any suggestions on anything else I should do. I want to find out who used it and how they got the number. Thanks, Jack

My friend lent me his car. While it was parked at home, it got towed by the police because it had expired registration.
Because the car was my friend's, I called the station saying I was him ( gave his name) ( my bud told me to call in his name, he wanted no part in getting the car out, his reg was paid, his new stickers were coming in the mail ) and the cops were very rude, and I end up filing a complaint against the bad cop.
In the complaint I wrote that my friend called the station several times and did it from my place, after he got frustrated, he asked me to get involved. I had to write that, because I called in the first place saying I was him. Later on, I called as myself. In the report I wanted it to look as if he began the calls, and I took over, when I got in the fall out with the sargent.
Later on, a great sargent helped me out, once the DMV paperwork was straightened out, and the car was given back at no charge. The thing is that I got served with a court

wouldn't it be cool to free up some space in the prisons, we take the prisoners and have like a prison death match. we put prison against prison until there is only one guy left , and he wins his freedom. of course it would be on tv to make money, it could be the biggest sporting event ever. and then put countries against each other. it would be awsome.

what do you think?

I received a parking ticket from a private parking company in London, Ontario for $40! There were no visable signs indicating that this was a pay lot in the area where I parked. When we looked around after I got the ticket there was a pay box around the corner near the other entrance to the parking lot but it was not visable from where I parked. Do I have to pay the ticket? What are my options? Can I fight it?

I have now worked inside a jail for a few years.
I feel...and this is just my opinion, that jails are for most inmates, a
waste of tax paying money...and for the inmates too.
My idea!
Why can't the men(who are NOT murderers-rapists-heavy duty bad guys)..go to a Army boot camp!

With real life drill sargents, NO GUNS only army personel, and these guys...are worked the same as any soilder...but! not to kill of course...Just to learn disipline(which I have found to be one of their most missing elements to their lives).
Comrade-ship...and respect! and manners.....Now wouldn't that at 2-3-4-5 years be well worth tax payers money!
Stop a lot of mixing with inmates, who are a lost cause. And yes!
sorry to say, but some are totally a lost cause. Not all, but Jeff/D
kind ect.
If you think, it would be a good idea...you just have to say YES...if Not No....or explain, but remember..after 5 yrs, I see little change
if any..in these guys.Something else has to work!...

Here's my opinion on rape and murder.

Murder is the worst thing you can do. Rape can be like murder, but there's always the chance of recovery. Murder is murder.

HOWEVER, a person who rapes or molests is just as bad as a murderer, unless in the very rare case that they only did it for a short period of time and then changed their ways. People who kill can actually be reformed better than people who rape. Many people who kill would not do it again.

I've never been raped, but I do suffer from severe mental problems, and if the pain of rape is anything like what I suffer, I think that the pedophile or serial rapist is as bad as a person who kills several people.

Another thing - I think kidnapping and ANY form of child abuse is also in the league of these sort of crimes. Drug trafficking too.
