MMMMMMM lets see. As another said, I've not had that problem because I don't have any illegal substances in my home. If a Police Officer were to come to my home I would certainly invite him in. If a SWAT team came in I would certainly do everything I was ordered to do as again, I have nothing to hide. If Anthony didn't hear them he must have certainly seen all of the white lettering on their tactical vests that said either SWAT or POLICE which would lead a REASONABLE man to believe the police were there on official business and not just stopping by to say hello. I have been with several tactical teams as they make entry and have yet to see them treat anybody in an unreasonable manner not to mention they always yell 'POLICE POLICE POLICE' (about the only thing on TV that's realistic) Maybe Anthony would be in better shape today if he wasn't committing crimes and followed the order to get down. The "neighbor said" just don't cut it. Where's the proof? "Banging" is easier to hear than 'voices', maybe they did ID themselves and the neighbor just didn't hear it because the voices didn't carry like the banging did.
And you don't mention how the 23 year old reacted to police entering the home. Did he sit down and behave? I doubt it or they wouldn't have shot him. If it was " a little over an ounce of" pot, then why would he not sit down and behave when they entered the house?
More than likely, he reacted violently to them, maybe brandished a weapon, and got shot for his trouble. It's a justified shooting in that case.
