I am just wondering what ways there are for a person to get kicked out of their city. What would they have to do for that to happen?

Maybe I'm generalizing, but I've noticed that a lot of them speed. I go maybe 5-10 miles over the limit, and they always seem to zoom right by me. And no, I don't slow down when I see them, because by that time, it's too late to do anything - they already know how fast you were going.

My dad says they have a right to, but I think it's just an abuse of power.

for example, if the police come to your house with a search warrant and you run out of the house, should the police be able to shoot to kill or injur...why do people run if they are innocent...please don't tell me they are scared...because if we implement a law that says shoot you if you run...they will be more scared to stay, wouldn't they?

Hello. I recently applied and interviewed for an IT job for a mortgage company in my area. Went through about 4 interviews, and apparently they are serious about hiring me.

Today I get an email asking for consent to do a background check. Consumer, criminal, the works. They say they have to because they are regulated by the state banking dept. Sounds bogus to me but whatever.

Anyway, about 4 years ago my mom overdrew my trust account and therefore caused some of the checks I wrote to bounce. I was not getting the notice from the companies of this as it was all sent to my mother.. Therefore they were submitted to my local state attorneys office where I was charged with passing worthless checks. I made an agreement with the prosecuter to pay off what was owed, and explained my situation. I was not convicted (Adjudication witheld) and that was that.

Now when I went to rent an apartment they did a check and it came up as grand theft greater then 300 less then 5000.

Would it be legal for them at the ER to draw blood from someone while they are unconcious to check for drugs and alcohol without first getting a signed consent form?

And at what point does the speed change? Is it only after you pass it or at any point before it?

Can anyone please tell me what status in Law and what powers of arrest or detention does a CSO actually have? There seems to be so much spin and miss information about them that I don’t know who to believe.

Please only answer if you have FACT, not rumour or gossip.

Thanks

JB

What do some agents gain by coercing false confessions from innocent detainees? Don't they genuinely want to find the truth? If yes, why act like sons of bitches threating with violence, fabricating and destroying and hiding exculpatory evidence to get bogus confessions from people they know are innocent?

I am applying to a Police Academy as a college grad, magnacumlaude, Coast Guard Academy attendee (honorable discharge), and have made it to the panel interview but have not passed, and I suspect that I got rejected because I have worked under the table once in the past while trying to make ends meet. I am looking for "best practices" I suppose and wonder if my decision to work under the table will for sure give them reason to reject me, if I should bring it up, or not say anything and let them find out on their own in the background check. Similar situations or advice appreciated.

I've had a huge crush on this guy forever and it so happens that he's a cop. How do you get a cop to go out with you? What do they look for in women? I don't know him very well and to be honest I'm not sure how to approach him...I'm never in the police station. Any suggestions?

I have finally terminated a ugly 17 year relationship with my former girlfriend, who during that time gave birth to our 3 sons. She has now placed a bogus restraining order keeping me from our children and my home. We go to court in aprox 1 month on the restraing order and the attached issues of child custody and support issues. What are her rights to the property I as a single man purchased and presently am paying morgage on. After dealing with her long and current dependency on illegal drugs and legal matters that go along with them I finally had a enough. We now both have domestic violence on our records. It didn't help that for a brief time I turned to acohol as a way of coping. I took on most of the responsibilities of a married man but I always made it clear that I did not and was not going to marry her with all these ixisting problems that never seemed to go away. HOW LONG CAN SHE KEEP ME AWAY FROM MY OWN PROPERTY? IS SHE LEGALLY INTITLED TO ANY OF IT?

Say your driving around town, and run a red light or something. Can a highway patrol pull you over and give you a ticket? Does he have jurisdiction in the city? If he does pull you over, what are your rights?

Was this guard out of line. I was in the hospital with a lung infection, I asked my doctor if I could visit another floor. Since he wanted me to walk around he said ok. I went to the cafeteria and bought a cookie, there was a security guard in there and she came up to me, attracting unwanted attention, and started questioning me. I told her what room I was in, what my orders were and then asked her if I was in jail? She came to the room to "check" on me. I was very angry, would you be?
