I was at a club where my friends were buying me drinks. I went to by one round (6 drinks) and when I returned to close out my tab the bartender said it was 1500 dollars. I got in an argument and was thrown to the police. The manager of the club told the police I was drunk and that I didn't want to pay my tab. The police arrested me without question. I spent 26 hours in jail because a prior warrant was discovered. I owed 1400 dollars for another fine that I assesed two years ago for a DUI that was reduced to a wreckless driving violoation. With this conviction I was placed on probation. Any alcohol violation would violate my probation. I had two seperate court dates. My public defender advised me to plead not guilty, because when I was arrested they only took one measurement of alcohol. (B.A.L. .28). I paid the money owed the day I went to court. The warrant has now been taken care of, but my question is what will happen if I am convicted of this violation and do I have a case?

I am 18 and I live in Indiana. I was cited in Tennessee and have to return for a court date. I have never had any other run-ins with the police. The cop said I was probably looking at a stiff fine, but will I get probation too? And how much do you think the fine will be?

I'm moving into a new area of the city that I'm somewhat unfamiliar with because I'm new to the area. Can someone tell me how to find public records on criminal activity in Raleigh, NC?

I am currently employed as a civillian member of staff working in the UK for Police Service.
Have recently passed all the recruitment proceedue to become a Police Constable and passed all the assessments.
I've since been told that, as the result of an incident that occurred 4 years ago (it was a public disturbance which I was present at but not involved in any criminal activity), my application has been put on hold.
I have no criminal convictions nor have I associated with the people who were present at the incident for 4 years.
Although I am civillian staff (been in post 15 months), I am 'front-line' and deal with members of public.
I was first made aware of this problem two months ago, but nothing further has happened. each time I have spoken to the recruitment department they are avasive. Surely, if there's something in my past that would affect employment as P.C, then that should directly affect my 'front-line' position as civillian staff? Has any one had similar experiences?

My fiance' recently acquired herself a stalker and we were curious as to if there are any free websites on the internet that you can view a persons criminal record or see if they have one. We live in Michigan. Apparently this guy went to elementary and high school with her but she doesn't remember him but in a handwriten letter he states he has loved her since elementary school which was almost 30 years ago.
If there are any sites we could log in and see if this guy has been busted for this stuff before. We did go to the police and they agree that a 6 page letter to someone they havent seen in 28 years and don't even really know is NOT NORMAL. They called the city hall in the city he lives and got his number(s), all of which are disconnected. Any help would be great. The police say "yes" he IS wierd and we should be cautious, but he hasn't broken any laws yet... we dont want to wait until laws have been broken. Scarey creepy stuff here.

The african national indirectly sent mail on a girls id and post miserable stories, their wealth to be legalised, and after trapping unsuspecting victims of other nationality they beg for some processing fees and ultimately they make some fraud and leave the unsuspeting national in a big financial loss and mental stress. What to be done to these africans, who cheat and loot other national, whom to be turned up to take them to the task and make way for being penalised for their involvement with other national and causing them loss or to get back the release of the money paid officially in foreign exchange to a specified account of the african country.

I believe spankings (not beatings) should be manditory in every household, punishable by law if it ISN'T done.
Of course, only when alternatives have been exhausted, or if the child has caused purposeful harm to another child, or any extreme reason. Wishful thinking, but some states in the U.S. will put parents in jail if they DO spank and they're caught, such as in Las Vegas.Ridiculous!!!

He's in prison for revoked probation, but he was on probation for assualt. His name isn't on the birth certificate, and there has been no DNA test to prove paternity. I just want to know if he can make me put his name on the birth certificate after proving paternity, and start a suit for full custody.
