I'm 35 years old, married, & raising 2 teenage step children now 15 & 17 since they were 2 & 4, and our two biological children age 2 and 7. Our 17 yo son started pushing me & grabbing me & open hand hitting me, BUT ONLY when dad is working away on business. I was so scared one night I called the police and they did not believe me...they never heard of "young parents being abused. [YOU] need professional help "...& they left! Dad had a hard time believing his son was capable of such violence perpetrated against a woman, his wife and his son's only source of motherly love, until his best friend saw it with his own eyes. I am safe again, but need to know where are the laws that protect me and my 3 younger children. Are there any laws that protect parents from being abused by their chidlren...despite our ages? PLEASE, can someone link me to any laws that can protect me? In the USA, and CT inparticular. Thank you for listneing! I appreciate ANY response!

The recent news story of a man in NY has been replayed ad infinitum in the media for the last year. It involves an alleged attack by a white youth against 3 black youths. While any kind of violent attack, racially motivated or not is wrong, I began to wonder why this story was given such a tremendous amount of coverage while crimes involving blacks attacking whites is not. I discovered Paul Sheehan's research, culled from the FBI published statistics on crime and was shocked that while the media seems obsessed with reporting white on black crime ad infinitum (think Howard Beach 1986 or the Texas dragging incident), it seems to all but ignore black on white crime. The statistics seem to indicate that black on white crime is is happening at a much higher level than the reverse. Some suggest the problem is so epidemic as to constitute "an undeclared race war". i know someone who is a 3 or 4 time convicted felon and his last charge he served 3 and a half years on an 8 year sentance and got out and is on probation. well i guess he has violated his probation by not paying his fines and goes to court over it this month. it is the first time he has violated on this charge, and since it is probation from prison, what do u think will happen?? what do u think the chances are that he will go back to prison??

I am sick to the back teeth that when somebody breaks the law , they bleat on about human rights. What about the poor old grannies getting beaten to a pulp so low life scum can get their fivers worth of crack, dont these victims have human rights to make sure that their attacker is put away for a long time , not sent to sweden on a "awareness of me fact finding trip". Comon judges of this great country of ours get in the real world and tell cherie blair and her cronies to wise up!

a person did my signature as a trustee of school on govt. document in my absence and now they say that you can be jailed if any mistake happens with trust. but i have never signed any paper. I was working as a teacher only and never gave anything in writting.They dismiss me from job, now what can I do ?

Hi, I'm an LAPD cop trapped in a runaway train with a female hostage whom I am unexpectedly attracted to. Unfortunately, the mad bomber (whom I have already eliminated) has placed a ticking bomb attached to a vest she's now wearing.*
Okay, I was just kidding. But my question is: if this was the scenario, how do I go about defusing a human bomb? I want actual bomb squad procedures, so no nonsensical answers, please. How do REAL bomb defusers go about dismantling a live explosive?

I'm buying my home. I have lived here for about 6yrs. Over the yrs I have had 4 bikes stolen. I have no garage. The bikes are kept on the front porch. We live on a terrace. I have also had problems with some teenagers who are bullies. They walk on my 100yr old wall that surrounds the front and one side of my house. My car gets egged about twice a month. These bullies will put large rocks in the street for cars to run over. I called the police and they spoke to the one boy and had a sturn talk with him. I finally had enough. I bought 2 night vision cameras that are hooked up to two small tv's in my home. I also record every night. I also put a motion light on my porch. Some people think I have gone to far. This is my house and I shouldn't have to put up with all this. I just want them to leave me alone. I want them to stop vandalizing my properties. What do you think?

My sister died in Feb. 2001. No one told us anything. We found out over the computer from the S.S. death index but it does not say how she died or where she died. We have talked with the police since we failed a missing persons report but they can not tell us anything cause they don't know where she died at. We do know she did not die in Florida. Every where we look no one can give us an answer. We have check the computer that we don't know where to go now. We have checked every site possible. We think she died in GA. But we can not afford anymore. Is there any way to find out? Please help her name was Belinda Cartwright.
