Why are Canadians better at catching terrorists than Americans? (Maybe we just politely asked them to come to the cop shop.)

My friend stole money from her place of work. The detectives are saying that the owner just wants his money back, and will not take her to court. There will be no charge against her on her record. Does she have anything to worry about?

I just recieved an e-mail from someone claiming to be a U.N. doctor from South Africa who says he stole 45 million dollars from the U.N. and wants me to help him move the money to the U.S. using my bank account. Of course, I would be handsomely rewarded for my efforts.
Does anyone know who, if anyone I should report this to. Or should I just delete it and hope no unsuspecting sucker falls for this guys scam later on.
Thanks for your help.

i think once any amnesty like this is over... if you are caught... you are simply going equipt to murder... you should serve at least a minimum 5 years... Plus one year for every inch of the blade, including the handle... regardless of age... everyone knows how serious knife crime is... from 5 years old to pensioners...

the punishment should fit...

your turn... what would you do!

He asked, I said no, he did anyway, stating he had probable cause because I had a pocket knife in my car. He found pot & now I had to pay for a drug eval & am now thinking I shouldn't have gotten one because the search was illegal to begin with but can't afford a lawyer, especially if "seeing a pocket knife" is probable cause according to the law, I don't know.

I had an adendum to my rental agreement allowing me to have this dog in the unit. My landlord has called sceaming obscenities at me on my answering machine. I was afraid to answer his call or the door when he pounded on it. This all started when the water heater broke and then within 2 weeks the furnace broke. He is upset because he had to replace them and because I wouldn't lie to the guy from the gas company. He called them and told them that I smelled gas--I didn't, the unit just wasn't putting out hot air. The gas company red-tagged the unit and all hell broke lose. He started to blame my dog for the failure of both the water heater and the funace. This was when he began threatening my dog and my belongings. I had always paid rent on time and been a good tennant. I made improvements to the property and never asked for reimbursement. I was seriosly frightened and I called the police, they said they couldn't do anything to help. Is this true? If so, why?

There's a woman who just moved in two doors down from me and she is, quite possibly, the worst neighbor I've ever had. She swears and screams at my friends for parking in "her spot" even though none of the residents have assigned spots. She screams at me when I take my dog out to use the bathroom and swears at me, she watches my fiance and I leave whenever we go to work or go out for the evening, etc. I've reported her to my property management team and they've done absolutely nothing about her. Will reporting her to the police do any good? Can they even speak to her about her behavior or will they just tell me that I have to deal with it?

this a lost belief? To me it seems that in todays world, there could be no scientific proof that there exists biological determinism in anti-social or delinquent acts. Thoughts?

You have two guys, they are neighbors. Lets call them Jack and George. George leaves for the summer to go to his cottage house. Jack goes into his garage and takes Goerges Lawnmower, Jack uses the mower for the whole summer and returns it before George returns from the cottage home. The person across the street notifies the police that Jack took the mower. Jack is questioned and admits everything. Jack cannot be charged with Burglary, why? What will Jack be charged with? Give it a shot! Ill put the answer up in about 20 min.!!
