No, I didn't say ALL of them.

It seems like a significant proportion of them were involved though.

I think it is sad that the actions of some officers tarnish the whole department. I'm not a police officer, although I have thought about it, but I do work in law enforcement. If it had been 1 or 2 officers, maybe it could have been overlooked, but my gawsh, the number of officers involved was unbelievable. There are so many people that when they become law enforcement officers they think they are omnipotent. It is quite the opposite. When a person becomes an officer they represent the whole department and are supposed to be a model of how one should act. I just hope most people don't think all law enforcement officers conduct themselves in that manner because they dont.

Well to be truthful, I think the e-mails are just a way to blow off a little steam, lighten the attitude, and take a moment out of a stressful day to smile.

Most people, whether they dislike law enforcement officers or not, feel that police officers have a tough job. Lousy hours, bad working environments, disliked by many, and the opportunity to get shot and die every would make most of us need a little comic relief in our day.

As they say............work hard, play hard.

for being like everybody else? How many off color jokes have you passed on, or pictures have you looked at? Police are just people that do a different type of job. should they be punished for the email? It is not against the law and for that - NO. As for violating Department policy yes

You can't trust the police (because they don't trust you)

And if you come in contact with one Just hope they are having a good day . If they are not , they can ruin the rest of your life.

You have placed all police officers into one catagory that you have created. This is the same methodology a racist would use. Think about it!

I agree with answerer number one. You have classified all police officers as uneducated and dishonorable, rendering you bias and uneducated.
